Well, who, when laughing, actually laughs 'lol' or 'rotfl'. People don't say those letters, unless they make a conscience purposeful effort to in an attempt to be humorous. And seriously, how many people do you ever see actually rolling on the floor laughing who is over the age of 12? I've never seen someones butt come off from laughing, ever. And 'rolfcopter'.. what is that even? So yeah, there are a lot dumber things people say about laughing than 'hehe'.
 
I do like: snicker, respect, loyalty and unity. No one in my world would take me seriously if I used the word yummy :) I also don't like the phrase just sayin'

Hmmm, if it's used appropriately I'm ok with it. But people seem to use it as a non sequitur far too often.
 
hmmm... sexy, definitely a word that makes me cringe. I absolutely hate it when a guy calls me that. I prefer to be called beautiful. Strangely tho, I don't mind it when my girls call me sexy.... very strange indeed.

the word cringe does it too..
ANY word that stands out irregularly from your routine vocabulary or dialogue...

I like kids gibberish :D it makes me happy.

I laugh sort of between haha & hehe so I just use hehe, I apologise. :(

Actually, I must be a pathetic person with no life - I say the word "lol" by accident a lot of times because I type it online so much! LOL.

i like the word: Escudo (Spanish) = shield (Chinese) :D

Yeah I love kids gibberish.
My 3 year old cousin understands a lot but his use of English is quite poor. He converses, but its a language Ive never heard before.

His favorite words being

"Im stuck!"
"Shoes and ocks!" (socks)
"Wimming!" (Swimming)
 
I really like this thread, because I now know how to make you all be attentive or cringe!! *laughs manically*

I really don't suppose I have any favorite or other words, but if I had to choose...

Any curse words annoy me...though I try to be gracious, but the English language has much better uses.
It also ticks me off when people take the Lords name in vain...( can I please have a good solid period of time...maybe a month, or even a week...where I don't hear this?)

As far as likable words...fun words are always endearing! These may include scrumtrilescent, tremacular, fantastical, ext...

Also, it's not so much the word as how it's used.

For instance, the word 'well' may have many connotations. When watching the movie Alpha & Omega, you may notice a scene where the character Lily uses "well..." as a response. I've seen the movie nearly 20 times, and this moment still makes me laugh! I'm laughing as I'm typing this... XD

*gasps* How can you not like the phrase 'just sayin'! Now what will DesertJoe use as his catch line!??!
 
"Just sayin' " reminds me of "bless your heart"....seems like you can say any harsh thing you want and adding these phrases supposedly softens the blow :)

It was truely hilarious when my sister was trying to teach her son to say "soda" correctly. He would sound out each syllable 100% correctly ( SO - DA = SOO - DUH ) but then when he puts both syllables together it suddenly becomes "choa"( cho - ah ) :D hahaha ...
