If you bumped into 16 year old YOU today, what advice would you give yourself?
What do you know now that you wish you'd known then?

I'd slap the dope pipe outa my hand and tell myself to getta grip.
16 was a wild age.

Its ok to get in a fight, and even if you get beat it'll only hurt for a little while. not NEARLY as long and as much as the suppressed feelings.

TOTALLY agreed.

Not that I held grudges but I definitely held crushes.

I would tell myself to wait on the military for like a year. Go Army and only do like 4 years.

*slap* Be honest with yourself and them. *slap* One day you'll understand why I'm slapping you. *slap* Read your bible. *slap* Don't drink or smoke pot. *slap* Did that feel real enough? Good. Oh, and read Eph. 6: 11-17 you're gonna need it.

I doubt I would have to say a great deal because I'm pretty confident I know what I'd say to get him to listen. However, there are a couple of books I would put in his hands... also a copy of P90X! *lol* I'd tell'em to get his butt in shape and join the US Airforce like he was going to until his parents talked him out of it.

I would tell myself to put at least 300 pounds in the back of my truck instead of driving it with an empty bed. LOL (Long story). I would also remind myself that my father is not the man I thought he was and that it was not worth pursuing.

Dont try to be a feminist, its only a waste of time you will be happier if you find yourself as a woman

God loves you and if you search him He will answer

If your mother grumble you is because she loves you and want the better for you

I would love to go and visit my 16 year old Mom and encourage her to seek Gods standard for a husband then Id visit my 16 year old self (when I was dating and sleeping with a non christian) to do the same.

Only thing is, if me doing that would change things for my mom, then I wouldn't exist to this day, and if I had talked to my 16 year old self, God would never have shown his glory through my sin and lead me to change.

Well I'm 15 right now so I'd ask my 16 year old self if I continued to follow God's will
and ask what I should do to improve my faith

I'd tell myself... He's not the one for u, and listen to what God is telling u already! honestly, wasting three years of my life on a boy who God told me to break up with sense day one, what was I thinking lol *slap* wake up and live for God!

I would beat myself up. Then I would demand myself to ace school, to tell my brothers what I want to study in after high school, & to ask that girl who keeps saying "Hi." to go to church with me.

Dear 16-year-old Me - YouTube ---> this was the first thing that came to my mind when I first read the title of this thread.

Anyways, I'd say: "Hey this is an awesome time of your life, dont waste it, but invest in it and "store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Matt. 6:20)" :)

(And I'm glad and grateful I already knew this by that time and had the Lord in my life. But even if you guys didnt have Him by then, it's never too late to let Him in your heart and life. :) )

I would tell myself to not worry so much about what other people think about you...> and i would give plenty of warnings and good advice. Hopefully I would listen to myself.

To be honest, I didn't listen to my parents; why would I listen to myself at 16? :D

lol, i think that if i have heard to someone like myself telling me what i think at my age i would had thought that she was crazy :D

1. Love completely. Even if your heart gets broken, it's worth it.
2. Don't expect christians to be perfect, they aren't. Strive to be like Christ, not other people.
3. Not every guy who claims to be a christian truly is. Don't be misled.
4. God's plans for you are far greater than your own. Go for it.
