Hi this post is for both men and women to use so they can understand more the way the opposite gender
thinks when it comes to relationships. All that needs to happen is just someone posts some things they are curious about and others will try and give the best answer they can give.

Hmmmmmmm..........Okay, here's something I've always wondered about: Why are men so posessive of remote controls?

Also grills. What is it about grilling that men love so much? Is it the feeling of roasting something over an open flame?

You know, I have also always wondered why they are so compulsively obsessive of the remote.

Lemme' see if I can be of assistance....

The answer to your first question is simple. One word, five letters - DRAMA! Men hate drama! We can't stand it in every day life and we definitely don't wanna watch it on tv. If given the option to watch a boring documentary on something completely irrelevant to my life and your average daytime tv talk show, I would take the boring documentary any day. Have you ever tried to take a nap while watching Jerry Springer? Not happenin'. *lol*

Now, to answer your second question. I've never met a man who at one point in his life did not have a fascination with fire. Add that to man's love for food and you have a marriage made in BBQ heaven. Although, I'm sure the unfortunate animal that finds it's way unto our grill isn't so thrilled. *lol*

Of course, I can't speak for all men concerning your questions. However, I'm pretty confident that I speak for a strong majority. :)

Who's Jerry Springer?? Just kidding. But seriously, only drama I really watch, is "Castle" (and even then not much lately.) Prefer comedies and DYI, thank you very much. Or better yet, NO TV.
 
What is it with men and weird seemingly useless projects?

My hobbies are gardening and cooking. Their useful and productive and money saving and good partners of each other and educational.
Men on the other hand choose shortlived hobbies or projects which cannot be described by any of those things..

I kid you not, I was in our local hardware store with my husband when we just just married, whining at WHY he needed a drill and other tools.My feelings at the time and always had been up til that point was for fix it issues Id call a professional. My husband is an IT nerd NOT a carpenter/welder mr fix it type like his father and brother. I was loudly whining, when I very clearly heard the Holy Spirit tell me to shut up (in a nice but strong way as possible) and let him buy his tools and let him be the man he wanted to be for me which I realised is actually very biblical, even if he is practicing by starting up weird projects and getting excited over scrap metal and smoking wood chips and the chance to go to the hardware store every weekend.

I get through it, by getting excited as well whenever we go to the hardware store cos it means I get to spend eons of time in the gardening section. If hes gonna buy tools Im gonna get plants!!!

In this terrible recession job loss (or the inability to find work) has taken it's toll on millions of young men and women. This is no exception in the church. Obviously women want to be provided for by a man (and rightfully so), but in this economy sometimes that is more difficult than it sounds. Do women immediately overlook a potential spouse if he is jobless? How is a man to compensate for joblessness? Is seeing that the man is working tirelessly to find work good enough for you? This is assuming the man is in touch with God and feels faithful enough (and feels financially secure enough) to start dating.

I think men are wired to be problem solvers. Men enjoy creating things and accomplishing tasks which require these problem solving skills. I'm really not joking when I say that one of the best evenings of my life was when my brother and mended the door of a gas cooker.
