I agree, If gays and bisexuals cant get into heaven then how are the rest of us going to get in? We all sin. We are no better than them.
I selected this response from among several along the same general lines because, well because it was short.
I would like to address the concept of being born again, and repentance.
You are absolutely right. Everyone on this earth is a sinner. Everyone on this web site is a sinner. It is something we inherited from Adam and it is in our "DNA", so to speak.
But, when you become a believer, the Holy Spirit "convicts" you of your sin and you repent. God has forgiven you, because you have believed in Christ and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, but the implication is that you have made a decision to become a new person; to try and change your sinful ways. Unrepentance, in my opinion, is a sign that a person has not been truly born again.
Therefore, I believe that the
unrepentant gay or bisexual person
is going to hell. I say this not because that sin is any worse than any other, but because I believe that you cannot be reborn into the Kingdom of God and continue to sin indiscriminately. You may slip sometimes, but over time you should gain control of yourself so that your sins become less grievous and frequent.
And I don't want to hear that gay and bisexual people are born that way; that they cannot control their urges. There is a big difference between wanting to do something and doing it. Temptation is not a sin; even Jesus was tempted by the devil. Acting on that temptation is the sinful act. A lot of people have thought about killing somebody at one time or another. Thankfully, relatively few have acted on their throughts.
In conclusion, I would like to call to mind the story of the adulterous woman who was brought before Jesus for judgment. Of course, the elders and pharisees were trying to get Him to condone stoning her; the punishment prescribed by the Law of Moses. Jesus, of course, took a different approach. He gently forgave the woman and pointed out to the crowd that they were all sinners. But let's not overlook his last words to the woman in question, "'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”' 'No one, sir,”she said. Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared.
“Go now and leave your life of sin.” (John 8:10-11, emphasis added)
God bless.
