Okay this just happened a few days ago and the guy already got 22 million views of his youtube video as of this moment. Probably many of you already saw it.

His 15-year-old daughter slandered him and complained about her chores in a "secret" open letter to him on Facebook, and she actually did this the day after the father spent six hours and more than $100 upgrading her laptop, according to him. So he decided to respond to her rebellious post in front of the whole world, and he ends it by putting a whole clip of magnum 45 slugs into her laptop, as discipline.

His daughter's letter that he reads contains some mild profanity (but his whole point in reading it is to show how wrong she was to do this to her family). And he uses the a** word himself once in correcting her. If that bothers you, simply don't play this.

I commend the dad.

I saw that and I can't believe his daughter did that. I might be 15...but I think I'm more mature than that.

Yah, so many American kids and teens are just totally SPOILED and REBELLIOUS.

But it's also nice to see a lot of teens (even American) actually siding with the Dad on this! :)

Yeah...I'm siding with the dad. He did a lot for her. And she just up and disses 'em...and cusses every other word. Ugh I dislike people cussing

Re: Dad shoots laptop of rebellious daughter with his magnum 45

Umm pardon my ignorance.

My 13-year-old son just corrected me and pointed out that it's not a "magnum 45" it's a "colt 45". (He knows all this from playing Crossfire.)

I don't know if you saw the FB page, that was set up, in regards to the response that he got, but he's set one up. And while his daughter was mad at first, she realized, she was in the wrong for what she did.

That's good Violakat. That's the whole goal of correcting and disciplining our children.

Sounded more like revenge than discipline to me.

It was a total waste of a laptop as well. It could have been done away with, without being a bad steward.

There may have been anger but even God gets angry, and the dad had darn good reason to be angry. But it wasn't an act of violence that would put her in any danger -- it was very effective correction and if he wants to waste a laptop to be effective in correcting his daughter, that's his business. So again I commend the dad.

I agree. This guy has anger issues. Who in the world takes out a .45 and shoots his daughter's laptop 9 times!! And then posts it on youtube. This guy is a tool and a fool and has no business raising a child in my opinion.

Furthermore, firing a gun in a residential area is ILLEGAL. You can see buildings and cars driving past in the background so he isn't on some shooting range. He is on his property somewhere. I for one will be glad to see him arrested.

This was not the first instance were the dad had to stop the girl from abusing her privileges on FB. This time, he decided to become a little more proactive in how he handled it, in order to show her that he will stand by his word. He mentioned that because she publicly tried to humiliate her family and those who work for them, that she should be publicly embarrassed as well. If this had been done in private, he would have handled it differently.

This is the written response for some of the stuff going on:

I still think the guy is a tool. If a cop was driving by while he was shooting that laptop he would be in jail awaiting trial right now for firing a weapon in a residential area and he would have an appointment with a court-appointed psychologist, and his daughter would be taken by social services (assuming the mother isn't around). Just because he got away with it doesn't make it right.

I don't think he was a tool. I don't think anger in and of itself is a problem either. Do not let the sun go down and all that...

What it appears, and I don't know so I won't declare, but it appears that he was acting on the basis of revenge. Reminds me of a snip from Genesis 18; "Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
