What kind of body do you think we will have in the eternity? A new spiritual body or do you believe the bodies we have now will be resurrected.

A body like Jesus’s new body, he could eat and walk through locked doors, disappear and reappear .

Philippians3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

I look forward to a brand new spiritual body that is totally unrelated and separate from my flesh body :)

1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
I don’t know that it is totally unrelated, as Jesus said flesh and bones.

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and
see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
24:40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his
feet.

Moses said the life of the flesh is in the blood

Leviticus 17:11For the life of the flesh is in the blood:

And Corinthians says

1 Corinthians 15 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Jesus had flesh and bones and a spirit dos not have that.

Plus Jesus said to Thomas.

John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust [it] into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Jesus had a flesh and bones body but no blood, and maybe the spirit is now as blood

We will put off the flesh, for the Bible says the body will return to the earth where it came from, and the spirit will go back to God,and our soul will be in heaven in a spiritual body that is unrelated to the flesh.

When Jesus resurrected from the dead, and showed Himself for 40 days,He was not in His glorified body yet,as He told Thomas to touch the nail prints and spear imprint.

When He resurrected from the dead,He told Mary not to touch Him,because He has not ascended to the Father yet,but later He told Thomas to touch Him,so it seems like He ascended to the Father, then came back for 40 days.

But it seems like He did not get His glorified body until He ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives,in Acts chapter 1,after being with the disciples for 40 days.

He told Mary not to touch Him because He has not ascended to the Father
How could he have ascended to the Father if he had not yet got His glorified body, For flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

He got his new flesh/spirit and bones body when he went to see the father .

And that new body could eat and walk through locked doors, disappear and reappear.
And we will need that kind of body with super powers if we are to reign with Christ a thousand years.
And we will have bodies like his new body, fashioned like unto his glorious body.
And you could touch it
Some kind of flesh spirit body with bones.
The example is already set of what kind of body we are going to get in the bible.
Philippians3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Can’t we just take God’s word as face value, and get a body like unto Jesus’s new body.

Some kind of spirit flesh that can walk through walls. it’s not flesh as we know it, if it can walk through locked door and disappear and reappear.

Faith in God’s word is what we should have, not faith in someone’s thoughts about some other spirit body afar off that no one has ever seen.

To try to make out that Jesus’s new body was just a temporary new body, is not faith in god’s word.
we get a body like jesus's new body.

Philippians3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Why do we always try to put an extra spin on things? Let’s just have faith in the simplicity of God’s word.

Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

But it appears God has a body...

Exo 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
Exo 33:21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
Exo 33:22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
Exo 33:23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

Jesus had a body flesh and bone, and not flesh and blood, and yet he walks through locked doors and disappears and reappears, only some sort of spirit flesh could do that i would think

This is a story about the enemy.

Firstly

Not satisfied with the new body that Jesus got, even though Jesus’s new body was very spiritual and could walk through walls and disappear and reappear and you could touch it and he could eat., you look afar off for another body, a better one, one that sounds more spiritual
Murmuring and complaining.

Secondly .

You have God putting Jesus in a temporary body that’s inferior to God’s body because God can’t create a body that can go anywhere

Doubting God's ability to do anything .

Thready.

You want us to have faith in opinions of man and believe not in verses but some better body afar off and to stand on that.
You want us to step off bible scriptures and stop having faith in what the word says. That we will get a body like Jesus’s new body fashioned like unto his glorious body, that could go to see his father and walk through walls and disappear and reappear and you could touch it and he could eat.

This is a story about the enemy like the days of Moses and the children of Israel.
Murmuring and complaining
Doubting God's ability to do anything.
And stop having faith in god’s word

What does spirtual mean? It means something that is of the spirit

If we have a "spiritual" body then it is made of spirit.

Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a SPIRIT HATH NOT FLESH AND BONES, AS YE SEE ME HAVE.

I would have went along with this until recently, since reading the lost books of Adam & Eve, it is apparent that there are 2 types of flesh states.

I think you have to realize what a sprirtual is capable of, and that is, transfiguration.

That in essence, is being able to switch physical states of ones being, though staying the same person inside.

Forever in Christ :)

Well, one thing is for sure, we will know one day. Its really hard to be for certain what our bodies will be like exactly. I just feel once our flesh bodies enter into the grave, that is where they will stay for good....but we will just have to wait and see.

I totaly agree with you about this flesh state. Christ may very well have returned into this flesh, however, he sure didn't stick around long in it lol.

Forever in Christ :)

Phillipians 3: 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ ; 21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

1 John 3: 2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.

1 Corinthians 15: 12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead ? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised ; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.

We know that we will be resurrected in bodily form. What that body is composed of, we know not. We will not be formless spirits.

Not unless we chose to be formless lol, the key is being transfigurable.

I think that John 3:2, is just past its expiry date lol; though we may not know for sure, exactly what it will be like, we should have a pretty good idea at this time, as no other generation in history, has ever understood power & energy like this one does.

Forever in Christ :)
