As many know, I paint for a living. It seems that people like to ask if I'm a painter when I'm standing there in my work clothes that are covered in paint and wearing a company t-shirt. :confused: In true smart alec form, I usually tell them that I'm actually a corporate attorney that likes to dress like a slob. :D
 
I've always like this one: How come I've never been arrested by a cop who looks like you?
 
I don't know if this is a dumb question, but I hate when people ask, "So how come you're not married?"
 
When I worked at Mc Donalds drive thru people would give me their order then ask for it to go.
 
Oncefallen reminded me of something that happened to me on the job once. I used to install lettering on vehicles and one day I was installing lettering on this van for a business called "The Bee Man". It was a guy who sold honey. I worked in this parking lot next to a pizza place so a lot of people pass by and this one guy says "excuse me, can I get your business card? I have these bees in my yard and I need to get rid of them." I told him I didn't actually work for the company on the van but he didn't get it and thought I just didn't want to give him a business card. -_-
 
In honor of where this thread has been posted, the dumbest question for me is:

"Why are you single?"

which is usually followed by comments about how pretty I am or something. It drives me nuts! I mean honestly do you really think I know lol?
 
Then there was that time I went thru a local drive thru to order a Pepsi. I say over the speaker "I would like a regular size Pepsi please"
The girl said "I'm sorry, we don't have that drink. Would Pepsi be ok."

When people find out I know sign language, I get asked all the time how to sign this dirty word or that dirty word. Why do people wanna learn al the diry words in sign?????

There's gotta be something better than the alphabet, though. :)
 
Silly questions don't generally deserve silly answers, they just need to be directed. In my case, because I have trouble communicating, I'm the one asking silly questions. A LOT of silly questions... I get the rudest answers & the assumptions that I'm mentally handicapped.

A smart mouth will not make you a smart person.

I'd say I get a lot of ridiculous questions because I have an ODD-ish behavior where I'll reorganise things for my later ease of use.
