God is all knowing.
God is all powerful.

But...

Can God do something that He didn't know He was going to do?

Does He have the power to do something He didn't know was going to happen? (Assuming that His knowledge of what will happen is like a movie script with every little detail written out in order) Or does His knowledge of what will happen limit what he is able to do based on what is supposed to happen.
 
God has a perfect plan for all of our lives. He knows who will listen and who will not. He knows everything. However, he does not interfere with our will, so if we choose not to follow His plans despite His best efforts to draw us, He will not override your will with His plans.

Isa 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, (10) Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Nothing slips by God.
 
Neither of you really answered the question though.... Is God able to do something He did not know that He was going to do?
 
I believe the question implies that are some things God is unsure of, or that there are things He hasn't planned for. Because He is all-knowing beyond any capacity that we can wrap our heads around, I'm not sure if there is anything He is unsure about. I believe He knows what to do, that nothing can stump Him. However, I'm sure also that, if He ever had a moment when he looked at a person/situation and didn't know the circumstances involved were going to turn out that way, He would be able to take necessary action. In this thinking, God would be able to do something He didn't know He was going to do.

I answered the question very clearly. God knows the end from the beginning. There is no guess
work. If He didn't know, He wouldn't be God.

But I'm saying if he knows everything that he's going to do can he divert from his plan to do something that he didn't plan or know he has going to do.
 
Jeremiah 19:5

5 "(they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind),"

The only bit of info I have to offer is that God is powerful enough to choose not to know things when He's omniscient. I'm not going to make a doctrine out of the above verse, though.

If He knows everything, He doesn't need to divert. What if you get to heaven and you hear,
"Umm. sorry dude, I changed my mind on you. You're going to hell."

I was thinking more along the lines of the exact opposite,
"Sorry, i changed my mind, you don't deserve to go to hell."
 
God is God,He chooses to do what he will do, he cannot be questioned, charged to court, niether can he be punished,He can say something and change it, He is GOD THAT SHOULD BE HOLD IN AWE.

To say something and then change it is the same as to say you made a mistake. Why would this be the case with God if He is perfect?
