Hi! I just joined this site a few minutes ago. It looks like a good place to seek refuge and get inspiration as well as fellowship. I have a prayer request: It goes like this, I have end stage COPD, and Im in and out of the hospital monthly. March was twice becuz I have mutiple blood clots in both lungs. Not a real good thing. This is the second time I almost died on them. Im not seeking pity, maybe just a lot of prayers, and a lot of encouragement. Im trying to see why God is keeping me here this long, but I have absolutely no clue. I want to live how God wants and be his faithful servent, but Im at a loss as to what that entails. Any comments or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Bless you all! Hugzzzzz: FallenAngel5:confused:

You are in my prayers in Jesus, for all that is His delight, love and peace for you.
I have health issuesas well, chronic severe pain, and for a time I questioned why?
The Jesus said, keep your eyes on me.
I began to see that when we look too much to our difficulties, we lose sight of His love, presance and glory!
I learned that when I look always to Jesus, His work in me is done to compleation, bringing His glory, witness and work in my life .
We cannot know what is best, but when we look always to Jesus, He brings His best, His perfect love! :)

Hugs and God bless

You're in my prayers. I hope God will help you with your body, with your marriage and with every part of your life that needs healing. For those of us in Christ we know that whatever happens in this life we will live on, and one day it will be better.

Fallen,
i will tell you what I tell my daughter that has been in and out of hospitals for 12 of her 20 years and until recently has been bed ridden for 5 years. Praise God she is startingto get up and walk again. She lives in constant pain and torture. So what can I possibly tell her. I told her what the holy spirit put in my heart for her.

"There are two parts of our lives, the holy spirit and the physical body. Most people have healthy bodies and torturous spirits, lack faith and closeness to God. You have a torurous body and a great spirit. There is no reason not to work on your spirit even if your body is not reacting or doing what you want. In the long run God just wants us to be close to him, and in the end we will only have our spirit with him. The flesh comes and goes. This is our true destiny and his gift to mankind. Love him and he will love you back in many ways. listen for him, his quiet whisper, his soft touch and you will be blessed."

This may or may not mean anything to you but I hope it helps. I know god will bless you in ways you may not even consider. His mercy is limitless.

I would start by realizing that you can still help others, even in the situation that you're in. The Great Commission that Jesus gave us was to go into the world and preach the Gospel. You can do this in the hospital talking to the doctors, and here on this site, also. Just tell others what Jesus has done for you, and how much He loves them, that He died for them :).

That is so wonderful! It's really a win-win situation when we know that our bodies will be completely WELL in heaven. We are given such a gift of 'time' to get our souls right with God before going to live with Him.

Many times, it's hard for strong, healthy people to feel a need for a Savior. In some ways, those who suffer physically are able to get far ahead spiritually of those who are physically 'well-off'. Joni Erickson Taeda is one of my spiritual heroes.

I'm glad you were able to see this and tell her!
What a blessing!
I have a friend at church that is the same way...
She is in a wheel chair and always in pain.
She keeps a smile on her face and love to pray for people.
She is one of our prayer warriors...her prayers avale much!
