I wish I could say I was the perfect Christian.. But I'm not.. I am going through a terrible time in my life. I am 17 years old, trying to get back into school, trying to find a job, and expecting a baby. I just moved to a new state on the 10th. The night before, my boyfriend was arrested due to an unexpected warrant placed on his name. He got into some trouble involving possession, conspiracy, and uttering and publishing. These bad choices were made back before we got together, and this man changed so much after. He got a job, quit his heavy drugs, and was showing signs of being such a good father. He loved his baby very much even with it just being in my tummy.. He is now facing 15 years of prison time because of these choices he made before he got better. He was arrested, and I moved across the country the next day. I know I am young, and I have been told by many to just move on, but it is still the hardest thing I have ever had to endure, considering we planned on getting married and taking care of our family together. Now I am a pregnant teen with nothing, I'm lonely, and I seem to have fallen from God tremendously. I am asking for prayers. Please. From anybody. My prayers seem to not be enough anymore.. Thank you.

Prayng for you too. Have you got people you can turn to? you should not be frightened to ask for help in this time of need.

Please give your whole life over to God. He created you, loves you and wants you with Him forever. If the world lived in harmony with God we would live in a world with absolute order, with laws that work for our benefit and pleasure. The laws are as sure as the law of gravity.

We are given scripture so we can understand all of this. We have the Holy Spirit to help us with this understanding. Every single thing we do in this life has a spiritual counterpart. If we lie about something we are also separating ourselves from truth. Sex is a symbol of oneness with God, we are not to worship other Gods or have sex without commitment and marriage. When we bath and cleanse our self it can be a symbol of spiritual cleansing and forgiveness.

We can live only with the physical without spiritual birth, but when we give ourselves to God it is living completely.

Your life won’t be easy, if you do this. But it will have forgiveness, purpose, joy, and spiritual blessings and you will live happily not only while you are here on earth but forever with God as He wants for you. God gives you inner joy as you cope with your troubles.

I will be praying for God to bless and keep you.

I'm getting really annoyed with everyone telling me about sex before marriage.. NO ONE IS PERFECT. I think I learned my lesson... Trust me..

I wish I could reach through the computer and give you a big hug and while wrapping my arms around you I would be praying for you. You will get through this. I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago. My husband of nearly 20 years left me with the huge mortgage and car payment and three kids and I was two weeks post op from major surgery. I had $20 to my name and $5000 worth of monthly bills. I managed though. I got thru it and it was thru prayer and faith. Reach out. Ask for help. You will some how get thru this. God doesn't give us more then we can handle.

I was pregnant at seventeen too! I'll tell you what I did, I told myself and God I would do WHATEVER I had to, to do right by God and by the wonderful blessing he gave ME to care for here on earth. I started with that, I walked the walk and talked the talk. I stopped "hanging out", I didn't go out anymore, and I stopped ALL bad party habits. I began to read child development books and the bible. I found a church, I found parenting classes, and I started to make connections with people who lived lives the way I would if I could choose a life. That helped hold me accountable, kept me on the straight and narrow. I wanted my baby to have the life I always wanted, I wanted my child to be taught about God, but also living a shameful free life full of God. I realized there and then I do not nor will I ever know enough , and I promised to always depend on God.

I had a little girl who now is ten, she is a straight A student with a reading level of a senior in highschool, she prays before she eats, even when at friends house or school. She makes healthy choices when it comes to what she watches, listens to, or reads, on her own, even when she is the only one in her class who decides the movie the smurfs is not approperiate, and chooses to sit in another room and watch a G rated non animated elephant movie, or she will only listen to christian music, or read books that don't say rude words or bad words. She doesn't fall into any wordly trends, she could careless if she dresses a certain way, she doesn't even care about brand names. She has many more amazing qualities, and she continues to amaze me everyday, she does all this and more while peers around her say bad things, watch bad things, question God, etc.

The reason I shared this is, that I have been you, scared, lonely, hopeless, lost, among other feelings, but I wanted you to hear, EVERYTHING is in your hands, GOD is here with you, loving you and the baby. What choices you make, how selfless you are, how faithful you talk and walk, will be the deciding factor to your and your babies future. Make choices God will be proud of, and your child will be blessed by God. I love you and your baby and I will pray for you both. Keep your trust in our father. Lean on any of your bothers or sisters, we are here.

ummmmm. k.

Try and make the best of the situation you are in. I know it cant be easy and it's easier to say than do but you need to focus on your unborn baby. Ask God to guide you. You are blessed to be pregnant, many people don't even reach that stage in their lives.

Don't know if I'm reading your post wrong - am unsure if you've moved away to put distance between you, your baby & your boyfriend. If this is so, look upon things as a blank canvass on which to begin painting anew. Yes, it will be hard & difficult but not impossible. I truly believe that, with your God, all is possible. And if you need, ask & it will come. Maybe not immediately but that's where faith comes in.
Also, as has been said, there are many & varied church, community & charitable organisations that will be close to you & waiting just for you.
In the meantime my prayers are with you & your baby.

Dear SomeonePleaseHelp1,

Since you seem to have in mind making a fresh start in a new environment, this is the perfect time to approach Jesus with your troubles. He knows what you are going through and He wants very much to help. His own life on this earth was fraught with disappointments and many times people He loved let Him down. (can you imagine knowing ahead of time that Peter would deny Him? Or knowing that his disciples would all fall away when His crucifixion drew near?)

Jesus told us all to, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ..." (Matthew 11:28) If you share your troubles with Him, I feel sure that He will show you a way out of them. He cares for you deeply and wants to see you at peace.

On a more practical note, others have pointed out that there is help out there for unwed mothers (or mothers to be) who are struggling. I suggest that you try to find a faith-based organization that specializes in that kind of ministry and see what they can do for you.

But most of all, don't give up. Remember His promise, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

God be with you in your struggles.

Mercy! if there's such a thing as a perfect Christian, I am in d-e-e-p trouble. lol

I will pray for you, dear heart. Draw near to God--your prayers are enough! We all sin, and the Lord is always there to help us and giude us and lift us back up when we repent.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3: 5-6

I understand this in my own life to mean that when I stray from God's path for me, there is a way back, and the Lord Himself provides it!

May the Lord bless you with a strong knowledge of His loving forgiveness and provision. I will be praying for you!! ~ellie
