The Lord leads, but not everyone understands that's what's going on. To some, it doesn't matter.... I just don't want to lose my friends.
________
oh milady, I am not sure what else to say, there is a power in following the Lord's lead. IF you are His and you are then don't let something destroy you that is not you....
Remember, my answer to this question was very guarded. I would really pray first and , this is a big thing, if I was in a holy rollers church and went to conservative church like Presbyterian. But, IF I really liked the girl and the Lord was showing me that it was right, I would do it, no doubt. The Lord leads. I will follow Him
Now, what is it that could strongly lead me to switch denominations. Communion with Him, the Spirit in me leading me to all Truth
I am going to open up to you a little more, but I am praying that God finds me a girl only IF she is going to make me better following Him now than I am as a single and/or God is just showing me that I am not handling loneliness well as a single guy.
That said, I am working in a field that I enjoy but I think of the ministry, often, asking Him questions...
IF the time is right?
When is the time right?
I truly believe I will be better off with a wife before I were to go to seminary or take an online course, Lord becWAIT!!
blueseraphin, do you see where that was going? It was all about 'I,' that last thing I said. It can NEVER be about 'I' and they are imperative asked as in 'I will do this' format, and, not question format.
Our speaking to the Lord must be about Him. No imperatives unless you say the imperative statement like the above, 'I truly believe...' with at the end, '....course, Lord, but what do you think?' Questions must always be about Him. Our answers too, must be about Him. Ask anything in His name and if it it His will your request will be granted . Not saying that God will grant our wish when we ask reverently with a question instead of asking imperatively with a 'I' statement, but there is no chance of your request comingg true when you are doing things irreverent to Him, right
Sad, isn't it.
The right way to continue is in the 'if' or 'when' format.
Will I be better off with a life mate before I go to seminary or take online masters div program?
Will I be better off with a lifemate after taking seminary classes?
Anyway, I hope I didn't think too much. I am just trying to let the Lord lead, inbetween going to get some din-din at Subway, the bachelor life that is me
I see your situation , thanks for sharing, blessings, angel of His
