The problem could be that, upon entering the YouTube room, the video screen hides the first 15 or so lines of text. If that's the problem, you need to either click the "rooms" tab, to make the video screen move, or wait until the chat extends to the bottom of the window (past the video screen), at which point you will be able to see what you and others are typing.

I had same problem because a thing keeps popping up now when I go in chat that asks if i want to accept talking on mic or whatever. I go into another room first click, accept, then go in youtube room.

Actually I had set it to start the text lower in the YouTube room (and in my test just now it does work that way), so I don't really see what some of you are saying about the video covering the text when you first come in.

HOWEVER....... please note that the current YouTube room (and other "Tube" rooms) are kinda redneck-rigged. It's javascript on top of the Flash. That was the only way to do it with our current system. But when we rebuild our system in the latest version of Flash ActionScript, we'll be able to put the YouTube videos directly within the Flash, so the video can be dragged and whatever -- it should be much better (we'll have a lot more control).

Lol @ redneck rigged.

All I know is the video does cover the first lines of text for me; I use chrome as my browser. And I had one other person (who had just come in) ask us to flood the screen with nonsense to knock the text down to where they could see it.

But it's not something I'm losing any sleep over. Just trying to decipher the issue the OP was having.

Bless you, Robo. :)
