I like your signature JJAC, it reminds me of something I sent to my best friend:
A best friend is someone who will grab a shovel and follow you out without a word, when you show up at their door with a dead body.
He sent this one back: A friend will bail yyou out of jail, but a best friend will be sitting right next to you, saying "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!"
I don't know the first thing about them myself, but I do know that quite a few of them are, in fact, born again Christians.
“…I saw two Personages… One of them…said, pointing to the other —This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!… During…the time… I was left to all kinds of temptations… I frequently fell into many foolish errors… offensive in the sight of God.” —Joseph Smith - History 1:17, 28
Most likely a lot of them call themselves Mormons just for the sole reason that they were raised that way, when maybe they don't believe or even know all there is to know about Mormonism.
Anyway, back to my point, the verse above clearly states that there should be "no divisions among you", and what are Mormons (and 99% of Christianity) doing? Dividing themselves from other Christians because of some little trivial fact or figure (for the most part) that they have a disagreement on.
That's wrong in God's eyes, and it is extremely counterproductive in the Church; if the adversary can get Christians divided up into these tiny little cliques, he can destroy them individually. It's the classic divide and conquer strategy. What I mean to say is, please don't you divide yourself from this guy (or anyone else) because he's Mormon (or any similar reason). The important thing is that he be born again; all else follows.

I think that Mormons are misunderstood. "There's so much floating around out there, that it's hard to find the reality of it". That's what he says, every time I go to him about something else I just dug up about Mormonism. Trust me, I've tried with all the resources on the internet, and all he does is show me what really happened, and the FACTS to prove it!
I've tried getting him to sway, but he's rooted in the rock of his understanding.
Blue Angel, what if I told you that the Former Mormons themselves state that Mormonism is not of God, in fact it is more like Satanism. Would you be more willing to accept that? Back in the late 90's early 2000's, there was a lady that came to my church. She was an ex Mormon. She left the Mormon church, and not until a BF who was Christian started explaining things to her, did she start to realize the truth about Mormons.
This is a testimony of another Mormon woman, one who is part of the original Mormon Church:

You believe we are mistaken in regards to the Mormon Church, but we are not.
When Mormon Missionaries teach new countries, they start with the Bible, then very quickly move to the Book of Mormon.
They Believe that Jesus is not the only son of God, but also that Lucifer is also the Son of God.
This is chart is also a rundown of some the major differences between the Mainstream Christian church and Mormonism.

Kay, I'm kinda continuing this thread from another one, because I don't want to crowd the other one...
So,I met a Mormon dude, and he is perfect in every way, and I'm sure he is meant for me... But I won't leave my religion, and he won't leave his... What happens then? Would I have to leave the one God intended for me?
What happens if this dude is right, and God tells me to join this religion that so many are saying is a "cult"... what becomes of the friends that believe it's a cult, would they leave me alone because they don't understand?
So ultimately, if God tells me that it's right, I lose all the friends who think Mormonism is wrong.... I don't want that. I treasure all of my friends.
There are friends I have here, that think that Mormonism is from the devil. There are people all over the world who think that. There's so much stuff dissing Mormonism, it's hard for this guy to find any facts for me to go off of. He loves me, and I adore him, but this has been a problem for me, because I'm scared that if God tells me it's right for me to become a Mormon, my friends will think I've sold myself to the devil.
Honestly, I'm scared of Gods answer.
The guy keeps telling me that if my friends leave me just because of my religion, then they never were really my friends... But I don't want to lose any of them.
Whenever I get a friend, I make a place in my heart for them, and never want to let them out...
This is causing some distress, because I love God, and I want to ask him what's right, and I love this guy, and want to be with him, but I love my friends, and don't want to lose them...

I seriously don't know what you mean by "mystical underpants" and I really don't think I want to know.
Btw, this problem has been solved.
