There are many different shades and styles of shoes, just like there are with clothing. We need to make sure that every outfit is matched with the correct shade of black, brown, red, burgundy, cream, or white or else the universe will explore. So really, our shoe buying is keeping the universe from exploding.

I can't speak for all men, however at least for myself I rarely ask for directions because I rarely get lost. If I do, I find no shame in stopping and asking for clarification. I figure there's no point in wasting a bunch of time driving around getting more turned around.

Exactly! And there are seasonal issues (you can't wear cool strappy sandals in the winter), heel heights, etc.

I have a question. Why do girls like surfers/skaters? I was always working, which I thought would be a more desirable trait than playing in the ocean all day. What's so great about surfers? (And I'm not looking for sympathy, I know there are plenty of girls who like hard workers, and I have been fortunate enough to meet some of them.)

I think it's the younger girls who like the surfers/skaters.
I'd rather someone who works rather than rolls around on a board with wheels or goes to play at the beach all day.
I'm sure any stable person would. Im not sure what woman would prefer a man that surfs and skates all day rather than works.
I will say, guys that surf are some what appealing, but only because there different and they seem quite care free. However i would never actually want to date one

see I really wouldn't even mind it so much if each pair were different, but my wife has this strange draw to the same looking square toed elf shoe....lol.....lol....I mean sure some are brown some are black, but over all they all look the same. when does this insanity end....lol

Well firstly i dont like horses, i mean i dont even like looking at them. There boring. HOWEVER, you put a man on top of a horse.... weeeelll then you gots somethin to look at
I dont think its "cowboys" that women like, i think its more what they represent... There all like, you know.... i dont know how to describe it... I'm not attracted to a man who sits around in a suit at work, or sits around and does nothing in any capacity. These guys are tough.. they get it done. There not little sissy men who whine about getting dirty. An that's hot.

It's the masculinity that is suggested. Hey, who wouldn't want to be married to a rugged, hard working man? Or it could just be that our culture celebrates the cowboy.

Well, shoes aren't QUITE like cars, they're more like tools. Have you ever met a guy who thought he had enough tools? No, because they don't exist. Guys always want to use the EXACT right tool for a job, and women want to wear the exact right shoe for an outfit. Sure, you COULD wear brown loafers with a flowy silk dress, just like you COULD trim the hedges with a weed-whacker, but would it be RIGHT? Noooo.........
P.S. Please tell me nobody on here trims their hedges with a weed-whacker.....
