So....you have the power of God? Only He knows who is Christian and who isn't. I don't agree with the Catholic doctrine, but I would never say that Catholics are going to hell. I doubt any denomination has the truth 100 % correct. May God have mercy on our fallibility, and see into our hearts and judge us with graciousness.

Oh Tonydisciple.. there are so many threads about this in the other forums hahaha
One thing we have to understand is that there is ONE doctrine that we follow, not the traditions and added doctrine of man. Not any denomination has it 100%, but we MUST continue on in the Holy Spirit. That being said, if any denomination preaches something contrary to the Word of God, walk away from it. The Holy Spirit will not contradict Himself and as such, you should be able to enter ANY church around the world and the message should be exactly the same. Man's doctrine comes in and twists and mixes it up.

Sectarianism Is Sin

10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Now this doesn't apply to just the Catholic religion, but to all denominations and any "group" that "calls" itself "Christian."

I don't think that a lot of the catholic rituals are biblical, but I do know many catholics who are christian. It's actually not our job to judge, but I'm sure praying for them would be better than attacking them. God loves us all!

I AM a Catholic as well as a Christian. And I'm sorry, but your rude tone towards the Catholic Church does not seem very Chritstian to me...

Lol you are brave (and I know this isn't a laughing matter). I agree with you only because I am sure that Catholicism says "faith in Christ PLUS [whatever]" which is another gospel..but I don't know everything about Catholicism, I admit that, but I also don't know much about Mormonism. We can make declarations without knowing everything about those things which we make declarations about...faith alone is as basic of a necessity as you can get, and from the little i know (and need to know) about Catholicism, they are adding to faith and thus making faith void..If a catholic is able to prove me wrong, I'm sure God has given me enough grace to listen (I want as much people to come to biblical salvation as I can!). But I want to here "faith alone" and not some wordy explanation that says the opposite only in a vague in scholarly way..

Do you know any Catholics or have even researched about Catholicism or do you just let fear and paranoia make your opinions for you?

Raf,

My guess is that he doesn't even know who the Pope is. I doubt he could name five Popes.

I'm a Baptist and I have no issue with the Catholic church. It's the largest denomination and brings billions of people to God.

Haha! That's so funny when people ask me "are you a catholic?" and I answer that it's true and they say "oh.. I'm so sorry for you, you're not a Christian bla bla bla". People! Do you realize that christianity is devided for three main branch? Catholicism is one of them, so when somebody is catholic is also means that it's a christian. And by the way, every doctrine has something which gets you closer to God and seems to be "that one" right path. But for me truth is that we have one God. Whatever you call Him. And whatever doctrine you belong. And if you say that one of them is wrong if you don't know much about it, it doesn't makes you a better Christian ;)

Greetings, in God.

no wonder I find this site so refreshing, on the recently closed website of "Christian forums" you would get banned for making such a statement, they actually had some homosexual moderators that banned me for posting bible verses alone in a liberal forum that saw homosexuality as not being a sin. In the defense of Catholicism they are not totally unbiblical, they have some basic truths, most of the important truths, but I too believe the voice of Jesus is calling them to come out of her

Do any of you understand what a Christian is and how the Bible (not me) teaches that one becomes a Christian? Any person no matter what the denomination who has not met the Biblical Requirements for becoming a Christian...IS NOT A CHRISTIAN.

1. You must HEAR and understand the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ
2. You must then BELIEVE the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ...Following what is directed in the Bible (The Word of God).
3. You must then REPENT and turn away from sin confessing your sins to GOD not man.
5. You must then be BAPTIZED to join in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus The Christ in order to have any part in him, this is done by water immersion in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. (at the time of Baptism is when we are sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit.

These 5 steps are taught by THE BIBLE (The Word of God) it is not judging it is a FACT if you have not followed these 5 steps...YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN...

Catholic is NOT Christian but neither are many of the other denominations that claim to be...FACT according to the Bible, NOT MY JUDGEMENT....

Actually, the voice of Jesus is calling you to come into the Catholic Church. It's an echo of His words in Matthew 23:37. You will find that in the Catholic Church, your relationship with Jesus will become even closer! You will experience a closeness to the Scriptures and Christ that you never even realized was possible. And the joy you will find in the Catholic Church is beyond compare. It is the pearl of great price and it is worth giving up everything you own to become a part of it.

Well, not to be rude (honestly) but I would think the 5 steps would explain it...

Any person who has NOT followed ALL 5 Steps (is NOT a Christian)

1. Perhaps one hears and maybe understands what is being told to them (But it is NOT what the Bible teaches) if it were then the people would know and understand they must follow what Jesus taught, not what man teaches.

2. Perhaps one even truly believes what the gospel they hear (but it is NOT what the Bible teaches)

3. One may even repent according to what they heard, but their repentance is due to a gospel that (is NOT) what the Bible teaches....

4. You and I both know that Catholics are NOT baptized by immersion so they do NOT receive BIBLICAL Baptism for the purpose the Bible teaches.....

There is no doubt in my mine that many Catholics are sincere in their attempt to serve God...but what they have been taught is NOT (WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES) and before something is said about (The Bible) Remember that The Catholics claim to have given the known Bible to the Church......if this is true then how can Catholics then turn around and say "well tradition is more important than what the Bible says"?

If this is True then why would the Catholics give a FLAWED collection calling it (THE WORD OF GOD)?

FACT: was the thief on the cross baptised?, or did Jesus lie to him about his destination, were the gentile believers Peter preached in the book of Acts filled with the Holy Spirit which we are told is a deposit of our inheritance, before or after they were baptised.........God works in many different ways, you have a list of criteria and an order for there exact sequence, yet the bible shows that there are always exceptions and nobody tells Him how He is going work and how He isn't
