Having a birthday without a party has it's perks 
1. yesterday, I had enough time (because there was no party) to go on my very first date with a guy who respects me and my family (and who has liked me secretly for years)
2. I'm laying in my bed right now, eating all the chocolate that was meant for s'mores, but we're not doing anything with it, so I get it all!
