Mystery novel!!
Wes, a young guy who likes lying his way through life, is arrested for murder of his rich uncle, Edgar, who had recently removed Wes from his will. Edgar removed Wes from the will after Wes' rich grandmother stopped supporting him financially & Wes was caught stealing a purse.
Wes tells the police the purse was a friend's, no the purse was a friend he was with but had to conceal it because she had a jealous husband, no it was all a conspiracy masterminded to get him caught & that his uncle Edgar was killed for trying to help Wes. Wes' fingerprints are on the murder weapon & his behavior is deteriorating to lunatic status.
A lawyer, half gumshoe, decides to speak to the lady whose purse was snatched by Wes except the woman who reported to the police is a fake: address, the name is fake, & the ID owner is a completely different lady!
