No one ever gave me reps...they only ever reported me.

I get likes all the time, however.

I like given likes to people who like likes because that is what I like to do and if you dont like it, well you are gonna just have to put up with it, like it or not.

Repping wasn't too big to begin with, at least not for some time. Not sure about when it first came out. I used to get repped a couple times a month on average, now i get liked in batches every day. I've received one rep since the like button arrived. So yes, likes are killing what was already dying.

I dunno if likes killed rep, but it does appear that way......I've currently got 99 points, and I'm DYING to know what happens @ 100 points, but alas, I may never find out.........However, getting the "like" button was worth it, even if I spend the rest of my life wondering what might have been.........:p

Personally the like system reminds me too much of FB and so I never like.

Thats probably because everyone who requested the like feature said 'can we have a like button like FB?'. I'm not a fan of FB or using likes on it, but this isn't FB, this is CC. So i don't see what the two have to do with each other in regards to using the CC like feature.

I don't like the feature full stop, here or facebook, just my opinion.

Eh, I like having the ability to show my public support for what someone has said without leaving a comment in the thread.

Reps are lame because they are basically anonymous. You can get your friends to rep some junk that says 'give me reps,' rendering it totally meaningless. Other people will be like 'ooooo they have rep power' but that rep power came from posts about cute cat pictures or something. It doesn't mean you know what you're talking about.

'Likes' are on an individual post basis and I think that's better. I may 'like' your cute cat picture, but hate a thread where you accuse everyone of not being condemned to hell because they watched the Academy Awards or wear low rise jeans or something. I want to pick and choose what I support lol
