I want everyone to know that ALL of you- are my church. I haven't found a church where the leaders resembled Jesus Christ or John the baptist or a place where the entire christian body was able to swap every idea and understanding of the Lord. We pray together here. We gather for Christ for hours of every single day, learning from and teaching each other. I'm not a protestant, I'm not a catholic, I'm not a baptist, or a non denominational (of the billy graham kind) If you could affiliate me with any group its this one. I'm a CC'ian. This is my church you are all my christian family. This is the body I'm a part of.

just wanted you to know

This is also my church, I have also not found a church to be physically present in but this one is where people are spiritually present and isn't that what church is all about, coming together spiritually and praising our most powerful and high God!
Thank Jesus for CC and the fellowship it brings!

Its nice to have a place to come and fellowship when the churches have fallen away into many false teachings and worldliness, but we all need to be careful what we believe and how we believe it. There are many in these forums who are very sincere, but sincerely wrong in thier core theology.

I wont go into all the false ways but want to get people to think its not about acceptance and tolerance when it comes to salvation, repentance, faith, obedience, and what others believe about how they were saved.

Please read what a real conversion looks like, and make sure those you agree and fellowship with are in agreement with you, but you will not find many who have actually repented and crucified thier flesh with Christ as commanded in scripture, as its more of I was born a sinner, and Jesus is my cure for this nature handed down to me from Adam, this is a lie, dig deep, seek truth with all your heart ans soul, and you will be rewarded, maybe not with alot of friends and fellowship, as being popular isn't part of counting the cost and following Jesus on the narrow road!

Evidence of True Salvation. Can I KNOW I am Saved?
True spiritual assurance can only be given by the Holy Spirit of God. If you have really come to Christ an intense 'spiritual' warfare is taking place inside your soul. The flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh! Gal5:17 WITHOUT the FULL Armor of God, Eph6:12-18, you DO NOT stand a chance against the wiles of the devil and you WILL 'shipwreck' your faith & Forfeit your salvation. BEWARE lest anyone 'beguile' you as the 'serpent' deceived Eve, 2Cor11:3-4, and 'corrupt' your mind from the Simplicity that is in Christ. "The deceitfulness of sin will harden your heart against God's Word." Heb3:12-14
"For we have become 'partakers' of Christ IF we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end!"
The 'Works' of the flesh are evident: (Gal5:19-21) adultery, fornication, uncleanness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murder, drunkenness, revelries and the like....of which I TOLD you beforehand, just as I told you in time past, that those WHO PRACTICE such things WILL NOT inherit the Kingdom of God."
But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have Crucified the flesh with it passions and desires. (Gal5:22-24)
If you DO NOT 'Crucify' the flesh by the Power of the Spirit, you will be overcome by sin and Fall from Grace. That's what Jesus meant when He said 'Abide in Me, bare fruit or be cut off!' (John15:1-6)
"Do not be deceived, God is NOT mocked, for whatever a man sows that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life! And let us NOT grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap, IF we do not give up!"
Gal6:7-9
The message of the Gospel is simple. Men have perverted & twisted it to accommodate sin. God has made provision through GRACE for you to 'Crucify' the flesh with it's lusts and desires, Walk in newness of life, possess the Mind of Christ....and bare the fruit of the Spirit. Refuse and you have 'believed' in vain. (1Cor15:2)
Grace DOES NOT accommodate your sin, it is the power of God to eradicate the corrupting influence it has over your flesh! 2Pet1:4, 1Pet1:22
Titus 2:11-12 "For or the GRACE of God has appeared to all men. teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age."
That's Grace. The Kind the Bible teaches. NOT the Cheap variety preached in your churches. If you have 'accepted' Jesus and are still bound by lust, you are LOST still! KNOW this, there is no such thing as a 'Christian drunkard', 'Christian adulterer', 'Christian fornicator', 'Christian thief' 'Christian homosexual'
In other words, 'Carnal' Christianity DOES NOT exist. ONLY in the minds of the cheap grace preachers. 1Cor3:3 is NOT talking about people bound by sexual immorality as in Chapter six. It's referring to people in the church with minor 'disagreements' over their favorite teachers. Your preachers are lying to you by using this as an excuse to permit sexual immorality in the church! Just like they do with Rom7
Rom7 is Paul's experience prior to conversion to Christ, trying to be holy under the law and finding it impossible. His WALK afterward is CLEARLY shown in scripture, SEE: 1Cor4:16, 11:1, 2Cor6:3-10,11:23-33, Gal2:17-21, Phil3:6-11, 3:17, Col1:28-29, 1Thess2:10-12, 2Tim1:3, Acts24:16
WHY would this man of God describe his conduct as BLAMELESS and his Walk as PURE if it wasn't true?
The NORMAL Christian experience is VICTORY over sin & lust! That's what the Bible teaches. What your preachers teach is nothing short of a Gospel of sin!
"But if while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? GOD FORBID!" Gal2:17
"I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me! The life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. I DO NOT set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law then Christ died in vain." Gal2:10-21
It is an INSULT to the Spirit of Grace to teach someone they can continue in Willful sin AFTER they have come to Christ! Heb10:26
Whether you have 'Believed' for a while, or 'Never' really 'believed' is NOT the issue. The message of the Gospel is the Power of God's Grace to Deliver you from sin! The Keeping power of God is through His Grace, Heb7:25, BUT the Gospel is: 'IF YOU CONTINUE IN HIS GOODNESS, Steadfast to the end. OTHERWISE you also will be CUT OFF!' Rom11:22
He will NEVER leave or forsake you, Nothing can separate you from His love and NO ONE can Snatch you out of His hand....BUT unless these precious promises are 'contingent' on YOUR WILLING Obedience to CONTINUE in the Faith....the BIBLE doesn't make sense!
God has made this eternal Decree through his Prophets: Ezk18:24-27
"IF the Righteous man turns from his righteousness and sins, he dies in his sin."
"IF the Wicked man turns from his wickedness and does what is right, he lives!"
What's NOT FAIR in this decree? 'YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW'
GRACE DOES NOT remove this eternal Principle. That would make it 'license' to sin.
GOD FORBID Christ would die to preach a Gospel of sin!
You can KNOW your are in Christ according to Scripture. By the fact that you are NO LONGER walking in your old sins. 1John3:1-9 YOU ARE NOT Saved in Christ IF you continue in sin!
"Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. IF what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you ALSO will abide in the Son and in the Father!" 1John2:24 (True assurance)
"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may CONTINUE to believe in the name of the Son of God!" 1John5:13 (KJV leaves out 'continue' but Greek implies it)
The Message is "IF YOU CONTINUE" The OSAS preachers are lying to you! Flee their churches. Don't support them with your time or money, or you will PARTAKE in their sin! 2John7-10
READ your Bible, SEEK Christ, Pray for the Spirit to teach you the Truth! Your eternal soul is at stake!
Jesus said FEW would find the NARROW Gate & many false teachers would hinder your way. Matt7:13-16 DON'T Be deceived by the False teachers of OSAS. Turn to Christ and LIVE! www.standingthegap.org

I hear ya Deadtosin..i feel more community in here than i do at the physical church i attend..sad but true..many are new there, they don't know who i am..assume im new to the church when i at one time years ago served as the head usher there..lol. Funny stuff..either way, i have felt more encouragement and more love from people on here than i do from my fellow local 'christian' sad to say but its very much the truth..im glad we have this site here..it helps in times of my feeling lonely and disenfranchised with church.

Spurgeon once asked a lady who wanted to join the choir of the baptist church where he often preached: -which church do you belong to, sister? She replied: -to the universal church! Spurgeon replied back to her: -well, I suppose you sing in that choir then.

I am the Lord's and the Lord is mine. Wherever He wants me to go or do is because of His kingdom (which is mine) I gather where He wants me to be because of where He leads me. He has led me here for my family and fellowship. I am not clueless on this matter :) God bless you brother.

I also feel very spiritualy connected here...
But I love my church too.
I go to an Assemblies of God.
They are all over the US.
You should look up their mission statement.
Or just read my copy paste...LOL

  1. WE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
  2. WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
  3. WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.
  4. WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
  5. WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  6. WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersionafter repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.
  7. WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvationthat empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  8. WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
  9. WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
  10. WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
  11. WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church and to Meet human need with ministries of love and compassion.
  12. WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  13. WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  14. WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.
  15. WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
  16. WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earththat Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'

I've found many churches that have good mission statements and I agree with what they believe. I agree with most churches in that respect. I guess it all comes down to they always let me down. Whether its "everyone needs to be sitting at this time" (because they are about to ask for money) or "hold your envelope over your head and pray that it goes where God wants it" or "NO, I don't know for sure that God exists, nobody does, however." then when I raise my hand (angry look) "questions can wait until after the service sir!" I went to a church where the pastor went on for over an hour. His ending statement? "I told you all of that, so you would understand why we don't worship with instruments." I want a church where they only ask for money when they need something in particular and then when they have it they don't ask for more. It shouldn't be an endless well. I want a church where the pastor dresses like the least of the people in the room. I want a church where everybody can ask questions during the sermon. I want the pastor to serve coffee, I want him to set up and tear down chairs. I want him to pick up trash outside above all I want him to lead by example. That is what Christ did, and that is what we are called to do. I have not found a church like that anywhere.
