Jullianna...you're awesome! ...but our tastes differ so much! I like soft, chewy vegetables, and I also like all the things you don't like except olives and brusselsprouts. I hear ya on those two. I like the same things as you like on the other hand! Sort of...

I'm not really that picky about food necessarily. There are a few things, but mostly I like everything.

Hm...I'm not big into wild game meat or fish, unless the flavors are mild. I'm not much for eating anything except fruit raw. Gotta cook that food! =p

Hm...I think I'm fairly good from there. I'm sure there are a handful of others, but mostly it's in the preparation. Having a chef for a Mom has ruined me! ^^

Oh you are ruined Asifinpassing. :p How awesome to have a chef for a mother! :D

I realized that I'm one of the few people I know who doesn't really have texture issues when it comes to food. That seems to be a defining factor for a lot of people. Interesting.
I also generally eat one thing at a time AND chocolateandpeanutbuttertogethermakemyworldgoround. ^_^ hehe

Yay Catlynn! I haven't talked to you in a while...

My Mom is awesome! Thanks. ^_~

I hear you too. I like to savor the first 'pure' bit of each thing, but then I mix them. Favors change, and it's all about the combinations when unlocking subtleties or mellowing boldness.

If I'm spreading anything on bread it has to be as even as possible and cover every bit of the surface. (yeah, I'm weird like that.)

Lol I do the same thing! If I see an uncovered spot, the words ''Game Over'' come into my mind.

I know when I was a kid i hated anything that crunched and my mom hated that fact. She teases me about it now, just because of how hard i was to feed as a toddler through like first or second grade apparently. I hated tacos, chips, nuts, pizza, and most vegetables. I've gotten over all that now but I forgot a few more oddities..

I hate most seafood except Fishsticks, Tuna Salad, and believe it or not some calamari(though I ordered it at a fancy restraurant and they actualy included a like mini deep-fried whole baby squid,)
I hate eating bananas but love banana flavored things
Nothing spicy
the only time i eat lettuce is as a salad
still no nuts except peanuts or macadamia nuts(only in cookes)
I always eat meals in the order of Starch, Vegetable, Meat unless the starch is rice which i love and will normally save for last.
no sweet tea either its terrible, unless its mixed with lemonade or Arizona brand.

That about covers it I think....oh vegetables: Only green beans, peas, carrots, broccoli, limas, and corn. though corn is quite possibly the greatest ever.

Baked chicken is terrible too.

And What is Paleo?

We've had a lot of serious lately, so...silly time. :) Do you have food oddities??

Mine:

I don't like black olives, water chestnuts or mushrooms because they taste like dirt.

If I have a burger/sandwich, I want the pickles/sauces/whatever UNDER the burger and nothing but cheese on top because it makes the cheese soggy otherwise. I'll be quiet about it and eat it anyway if they do it wrong, but I like it better MY way. :)

I eat one thing at a time, but I'm not as wierd about things not touching as I once was :)

I'm just going to say it. I don't like Reese's. I like peanut butter. I like chocolate. Don't mix them together. It's nasty.

You don't like black olives? The same to you Nautilus and Catlynn. But Catlynn, bad enough you don't like black olive, but pickles  Black Olives and Pickles are the best topping to put on pizza.

I don't like black olives either. Or any color for that matter. And while we're at it, mushroom, ick.
Oh, and all sea food. NAH-STEE! But i will eat canned tuna. But it has to be room temperature. If its cold i won't touch it.

I don't eat burgers from MacDonalds/ Burger king, they look like they are made from paper mache'

Olives taste too much, they overpower any other food they are mixed in.

Snails and shells have a very strange consitency, but if prepared right, they are good.

Apart from that I think I eat almost anything. (Unless you offer me jelly fish or bugs, that i refuse to as much as try)

Alright here we go :D

I never eat fish, because the smell alone makes me wanna vomit. I cant even sit and eat with anyone who is eating fish because the smell bothers me that bad.

Doritos have to go on my sandwich, and the bread must be toasted. I do not eat sandwiches if the bread is not toasted.

I only eat cheddar cheese

Before i eat anything i have to pick it apart and make sure i like the way it looks

I dont like to eat KFC chicken because it makes me feel like im eating an actual chicken, on the occasion i do eat chicken it must be very dry and cut up into very very small pieces and covered in mustard.

I like to mix all of my food together.

I hate chunks of tomatos, it grosses me out.

Poptarts must never go in the toaster, always the microwave for 17 seconds.

When i eat oatmeal, it can't be cooked longer than 1 minute or i wont eat it.

When im at a resturant and our waitress or waitor has greasy hair, i cant eat the food they bring out. I'll just feel like they've rubbed there nasty hair all over my food.

I eat virtually everything with a fork, even cereal and soup.

When eating cereal i always use a fork and drain out all of the milk with the fork before every bite.

I don't eat meat if it actually tastes like meat.

I like eggs, but only covered in ketchup and cheese.

When im eating a sandwich it has to be cut into two, so i can see in the middle of it.

When im putting jelly on anything the jelly must be spread really really REALLY thin.

I can only drink milk while plugging my nose. I hate the way it smells.

I refuse to eat lunch meat that is not as thin as it can possibly get. And i can only eat a sandwich if it has one piece of lunch meat on it.

vienna sausages are your friend

vienna sausages on crackers are your BEST friend.

I find the dortitos on a toasted sandwich, very interesting I may have to try this.

I have always liked pickles, but it seems lately i'm tolerating them less and less. Just depends on what they're on, what form, etc.. like, Quizno's sandwiches, grab a big side of pickles. Take a bite of sandwich and pop in a pickle. But if the pickle were on the sandwich i wouldn't like it 0.o

But let's see...some food oddities....

Hmm...

- I'll either eat my food really fast or really slow.

- When I was a baby I HATED baby food, so my mom had to grind actual fruits and veggies and stuff, and in front of me, to prove that it was in fact NOT baby food. She didn't grind it in front of me, I didn't eat it. :p

-Lately, at least once a month, my appetite will decrease drastically and I'll barely be able to eat anything for about a week. And when it happens, it's unrelated to ANYTHING that goes on in my life. (Last time it happened was just 2 weeks ago when I was on that mission trip. I had to force myself to eat something sometimes.)

- When I put something on bread, as some of the others mentioned, it HAS to cover every part of that bread. lol

- When I have pickles on my hamburger, I usually want pickle in every single bite of my hamburger. I mean I'll eat it whether it does or not, but I prefer it like that. lol

- I'm picky when it comes to my chicken nuggets. I don't just eat any kind of chicken nugget. (It's a fact....Tyson chicken nuggets. ARE DISGUSTING. :p)

- I love coffee/coffee flavoring in just about anything and everything. Coffee cake, coffee ice cream, coffee-flavored chocolate...it's all good. lol

- Texture can really effect how I like something.

- Caramel doesn't always taste good to me. It only tastes good as an ice cream topping with chocolate syrup. (yup, when done right, chocolate and caramel are good :) and I've yet to try a caramel-mocha frappe from McDonald's...that'll probably happen when my tolerance to dairy builds back up.)

- For about 6-8 months I went gluten-free. I am now dairy-free and thinking of going gluten-free sometime soon.

- I don't like tomatoes alone, or even really raw tomatoes. I like stuff with (cooked) tomatoes IN it - like ketchup, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce....

I think that might be all! lol

Black olives are gross.
Pickles are vile.
But pickled artichoke hearts are scrumtrulecent!!!
I'm currently gluten free and soon to be all paleo.
I prefer my vegetables raw for the most part.
I LOOOOVE brussels sprouts!
I like to make everything from scratch and with organic, all natural ingredients.
Fast food literally makes me sick.
American cheese is not cheese. lol
I put hot sauce on as many foods as possible.
If I'm spreading anything on bread it has to be as even as possible and cover every bit of the surface. (yeah, I'm weird like that.)
And...as much as I hate to admit it and will rarely do so, I absolutely love homemade fried chicken. -_-
Give me the veggie party footlong on honey oat, please, and, add that avocado, too, thank you :D

What is 'paleo,' catty, milady ?

Ok, thanks, but, 'paleolithic,' catty, ? Primitive tools age time-period

You're not getting 'home improvement,' and, '10,000 b.c. ' (movie), mixed up with your natural peanut butter (Adams) and (dark) chocolate, are you :D

And, yeah, Reeses ROCKS ! :). They have a new dark chocolate and pb candy now, too. Healthy chocolate lovers rejoice :D

Well, I'm not sure that I'll be able to go 100% paleo due to my extreme addiction to peanut butter but I've been reading that if you're doing it at least 85% of the time that you still get all of the benefits. :) I'm pretty much paleo at this point anyway, minus a few grain consumptions still in place. ;D lol
