Just to touch on the KKK. I've had some people on this site tell me that the KKK was an organization formed to hunt down Protestants, when I heard that my jaw dropped. In the time the KKK was really active and strong they lynched Jews, Catholics, and black folks; also in every race riot it was Catholic parishes that got burned down along with black churches.

So how someone can say with a serious face that the KKK is a Catholic organization leaves me dumbfounded.
It's easy.
They call Catholicism heretic, and call for Christian fundamentalism.

Surprised?

I thought people knew their American History a little better. I'm glad I am going to school to be a Social Studies Edumacater.

Okay that is funny lol

There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ.

I know that's not exactly how 1 Timothy 2:5 is worded, but that is what I heard of God before I knew of 1 Timothy 2:5. Why does the Mediator needs a Mediator? He is the one who prays for us to the Father in Heaven, whereas the Spirit prays for us on Earth. Mediator and High Priest is the same thing, even Mediator and King. In ancient times, it was not uncommon for a king to also be the high priest of their deity, we actually see this in Melchisedec. Israel was quite different in this, but the Lord fulfilled both. Hebrews states He is the High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, and He is our Mediator between us and God. He even wrote that no one comes to the Father but by Him.

We don't need a mediator to pray to Christ for us, we have Christ to pray to God for us. That is erred teaching.
Weird how come a lot of people ask others to pray for them or pray for soldiers, or people with cancer? How is that any different?

The place where I used to live had KKK members and a neo nazi organization and they claimed to be white protestants and hated jews the most, than blacks, asians and they definitely hated catholics. lol

Wait, what? You know this personally? That's ... wow.

Look, I gotta tell you guys, the amount of Catholic-bashing here is just off the charts. Granted, the Jew-bashing looks to be on the upswing here as well so the anti-Catholic sentiment should drop in response, but come on. I'll admit I have no theological basis for my belief, but I kinda think that the Lord purposes us to fit into the Church we are best able to grow in, and some people are best suited to be Catholics, others not.

The heirarchal structure of the Catholic Church, I would feel stifled in it, but it works for others. And I'm sure Catholics would feel downright weird in my church where there isn't anything in the way of rituals at all. But we're all brothers in Christ and shouldn't be acting the way I'm seeing some do. And this is coming from someone who would be required to wear a yellow hat and badge when entering a Catholic Church according to their rules. Guys, it's one thing to disagree with someone, but when you get to the point where you flat-out tell people they're following the Devil or something, then you've gone too far. And of course, you usually see this from the people who have a large chunk of their posts discussing Catholics, just like the people here who have a quarter of their posts (or more!) discussing the the eeeeeevil Jews, Israel, or today's conspiracy theory. They're so invested in despising one thing that they end up looking foolish and non-Christian in the attempt.

I'm amazed there are any Catholics here considering the amount of abuse they're taking, and it's really a shame. I've learned a lot from Santo Subito, and he's explained his churches positions on various dogma with class and patience. It's some of the Protestants who aren't representing their viewpoint well. Or maybe they are, but they're letting their feelings run away with them.

"Do as I say, not as I do" is the law here. Apparently. ;)

As SantoSubito said, the ill-fated decision to turn this discussion into a "sticky" actually attracted more Catholics, ready to put up the coat of arms and defend their beliefs.
And yes, SantoSubito is an encyclopedia of knowledge. He's much younger than I am, and I feel stupid! :D

Cheers bud.

In response to this post I almost posted a cartoon from maybe a century ago that I Googled up which had a KKK member holding a bat with the word "votes" on it about to swing it at a mysterious malevolent clawed hand with the word "Rome" branded on its wrist that was reaching for a plot of ground with the word "USA" on it. The cartoon was clearly sympathetic to the KKK and was probably drawn by a member. When I looked at the link the cartoon came from, it was filled with so much virulent anti-Catholic hate and propoganda that I decided against posting it because it might have violated CC rules. What's scary is that some people here might agree with those sentiments.

Okay, THIS one I can answer. Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." The assumption (pun not intended) is that we do the praying and Yeshua is already there, we don't need a middleman. I personally disagree with Catholic dogma on this, it makes it look like God needs the help.

It is written what Yahvah God detests....

If you do not see how they are not worshiping the true Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah, then you should seek understanding.

Don't add to the delusion by protesting the truth.

Glory to Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.

Well, there's a big difference between saying YOU disagree with their beliefs and that GOD does.

18The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. 19Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces? 20Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

Is it not strange that people were worshiping a "queen of heaven" before Yahshua the Messiah was born?

Is the catholic church hiding behind the truth to deceive people?

Yahvah God was angry with those people, think not that he is not angered with the catholic church deceiving his people....

Revelation 18

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Pleading for them to come out....

Glory to Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.

You may be surprised to know, the ancient Israelites were largely polytheists, this is why all throughout the old testament they tended to worship other gods and after they were counquered by the babylonians and were exiled to babylon, they thought that their sufferings was due to the lack of devotion to Yahweh. The queen of heaven being referred to there is the ugaritic goddess known as asherah, whom many of the ancient Israelites believed her to be the wife and consort of Yahweh.

God chose Mary to be the mother of his son, not the Catholic Church, honor thy father and mother, do you live in accord with scripture and call Mary blessed?

It is sad to see you offer this explanation.

You quote a Commandment to support your delusion................

First ask yourself, do you live in accord to all of scripture, or just the bits that support your catholic religion?

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

By Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah

I strive to keep the 10 Commandments not for Salvation, but out of love and gratitude for my Salvation.

I do not hate anyone.

It is my love for Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah that I share this truth with you.... not out of hate for the people deceived by the catholic church and all other false religions.

One thing this thread shows is that RoboOp and the rest of the administrations' fail on their part and that their willingness to participate in the bullying and harassment against Catholics on this site along with all the other ones who are doing the bashing. They are suppose to be leaders on this site and by posting this thread, they are definitely creating a stumbling block and actually encouraging and supporting the bullying and harassment against people who are Catholic. I can tell you the love of God is definitely not here and I would not even recommend this place to anybody at all. This place I view it is equivalent to an R or an X rated movie due to the hatred and hostility against those who are Catholics and this thread proves the admins are willing to play a role in the bullying as well. Every site always has bad apples but in this situation, the administrators such as RoboOp are acting like the bad apples as well and it is ashamed when you have people who are suppose to be leaders also contributing to bullying and harassment as well against people who are Catholic.
