2. I don't like it when a guy asks me out and he is rude to the waiter/waitress

when i hang out with guy friends the above applies, but i have never been on a date, but i assume the above would apply in a dating situation too.

1. Belches her enthusiasm for the date.

2. Acts all 'demure' or whatever. :D

I like it when a girl actually has opinions and ideas and can talk about things like politics or values

I dont like it when they assume that me ordering a beer with a steak is somehow a sign that im just like their abusive father(had it happen once, ended up getting the waitresses number, but its a long story)

....i don't think i will ever fully understand my own gender. how in the world does ordering a beer and steak send the signal to a woman that a guy must is an abusive alcoholic if he orders it??!!! weird :-/ steak is good. and beer in moderation is not bad.

Well first it was a blind date and long story short she hated people that drank beer because her dad had been alcoholic. This was a first date and I was a little unsure of what to do. On one hand I wanted to just keep the beer but I decided to be the bigger man. So when the waitress came back I said look I changed my mind, ill still pay for it but can I just have tea? Then the date was like Oh no, dont change for me I already know you drink, and once someone starts drinking they'll never stop. Youll just end up addicted and abusive. So go ahead drink all you want. At this point she had been loud and I was completely embarrassed. So I said I think we should end the date, she said fine and stormed out. So now I have a completely blown away waitress in front of me and about half the restaurant staring. Luckily it was a small place so they had heard. I moved to the bar enjoyed my meal, joked about the craziness of women with other customer, and left. On my way out the waitress slipped me her number and said she mind if i drank at all. So it worked out.

So also, never go on blind dates regardless of how similar your friends say you are. Which is ironic because my friends knew i drank, so what they were thinking ill never know.

1. Smiles and acts natural because he knows I was waiting for it :).
2. He talks about himself all the time.

wow, what a story!!! i suppose it was better to find out she didn't like someone who drank sooner rather than later :X

I guess it depends on the couple. If two dating couples are together they can feed on each others feelings and do things they wouldn't being chaperoned...if that makes sense. :) I am all for chaperone...one person there with us...because I take a very radical stand on purity and courtship. :)

It was just probably the worst date ever. I mean I took her to a local microb-brewery/restaurant, i figured being that it was a micro-brewery she would have said something....oh well live and learn

Am I reading that right? You are 32 and you want a chaperone??

I don't like it when I ask a lady out and she makes something up to say no.
