Yeah I would agree....this is big...OFM always be careful when the word "peace" is used when it comes to situations like this. No offence to the catholic church but I think they are what's bieng referenced in the mother that sits over many waters in revelations. Symbolically it's generally refered to as a church in prophecy.

In the end times there will be a man that tries to bring peace but He will have sinister plans. This Israel peace treaty will usher in the end times!

7 Year Peace Treaty will be signed (7 year tribulation/End times)
In the "middle" of the 7 years it will be broken (so after 3.5 years)

I can't explain why, but the Pope standing in front of the Dome of the Rock makes me feel uncomfortable.

The zionists would not give up Jerusalem to a pope unless that pope is jewish. Dunno if the current pope is.

I think there will be one more pope after Benedict, one that has not yet come. Who knows if he somehow has links to the Jews in some way (or claims to have). Just my thoughts anyway.

While I am partial preterist and not a premillenialist/futurist and therefore have a different outlook than yours on these matters I must yet say that there might be something in this.

Tribesman - I think you 're right! The current Pope Benedict XVI may have Jewish ancestry!!! I've read that he is a descendant of the Jewish Rabbi, Maharal.

I am not sure if another pope will emerge, merely for the simple fact that JESUS could return at ANY TIME!!!! My main focus is trying to be right with God NOW and not too much focusing on much of anything else. God bless you in Jesus' name.

As far as I know the Cardinals of the Catholic church are responsible for electing Popes past present and future. Though you may have to ask someone of that religion I may be mistaken.

I think the cardinals select.

Benedict's 2nd man in authority currently is: Cardinal Tarcisio Pietro Evasio Bertone - so it's possible he could be next in line? Could he have already been selected?...............
