Here is a list of Word of Faith doctrines to refute. Note that these doctrines are heresy and I do not agree with them. I am posting them in hopes that you will join me in refuting them. #1 Adam was a duplicate of God and was God manifested in the flesh.(from Charles Capps book Authority in Three Worlds) #2 Adam was male and female before God made Eve. (from Kenneth Copeland, Sensitivity of Heart) #3 Adam and Eve lost their rights of rulership to the planet earth. God was barred from having full access to the earth because Adam and Eve were under His lordship when they fell. Satan became God of this world. #4 On earth Jesus was wealthy. He lived in a big house, had a great deal of money, and wore the finest clothes. (from John Avanzini on two different TBN broadcasts) #5 Jesus had to die spirtually and go to hell to be tormented for us. (from Kenneth Copeland, "Jesus Our Lord of Glory," Believer's Voice of Victory) There are many more false doctrines that I will not list. Feel free to comment on these or mention other doctrines of the Word of Faith movement.

Salvation comes from hearing The Word of Get Over Death almighty, The Father, then there are no if, ands, or buts about Christ/Messiah, The Son.

Forever in Christ :)

Lets not forget one of the worst word of faith doctrines .. that men are gods. To paraphrase .. 'cows have little cows .. God has little gods'. Joyce Meyer.

The best way to refute Word of Faith doctrine is to "Name it" heresy, and "Claim it" heresy, then you'll be all done (if "Name it and Claim it" works for them, it should work for us too - lol).

On a serious note, it is very clear that the Word of Faith teachers (and those who like to have their "ears tickled" by them - 2 Timothy 4:3-4) do not view Jesus as the "chief cornerstone" of their faith, but rather they view Jesus as a mere "stepping stone" to be used to get what they want (usually money, material possessions, and the applause of men).

In his book "Christianity In Crisis" Hank Hanegraaff perfectly summed up their attitude towards God in the following manner:

"These people devour what's on the Master's table, while ignoring the Master seated at the head of the table."

I couldn't have said it any better!!!

I slightly misquoted Hank Hanegraaff in my last post (the point of the quote remains the same, however he worded it slightly different then what I recalled).

Hanegraaff actually said that the Word of Faith teachers try to get people "not to love the Master, but to love what is on the Master's table."

did i miss something?
does one need to have a large number of posts or special status to refute false doctrines?
Not sure what that has to do with anything.
