This afternoon i wandered into the Bible Study hoping to find some solid, scripture based discussion. But no, yet again some atheist troll had decided to stir things up with random, offensive comments.
Ofcourse, we should welcome all atheist here who have genuine questions about our faith in Jesus Christ. Sometimes them coming here is a sign that God's Spirit is working in them, and wouldn't it be great if we could help an atheist to be saved?
But this guy just made random comments to make other people in the room upset, and didn't even respond to answers people tried to give him. It seemed to me it was just one big attention seeking thrill for him. I'm not going to mention his name here, but i'm sure people know who he is. Besides atheist trolls coming into the rooms is a recurrent problem.
So what should we do about it?
- Try to be patient and try to answer all of his questions; i mean shouldn't we love our neighbour?
- Get angry and get into a heated discussion with him; i mean there's only so much a man can take.
- Just ignore him all together; though that's sometimes the hardest thing to do.
- Tell a mod; though they are not always there to assist.
It would be great if there was some system in place with which we could take care of the problem ourselves. If, for instance, 10 of the people in the room vote for a user to be removed, they could get a temporary ban.
