@xino....baptism from scripure does always tell of emerssion. Afterall, one cannot "come out of the water" unless he/she is emerssed. Jesus told the disciples to go and make disciples, baptising them. It's not a suggestion from our Lord but a command, however, baptism does not save (the man on the cross next to Christ wasn't baptised yet Christ said to him "this very day you will be with me in paradise." Baptism is an act obedience and an outward expression of am internal/spiritual happening that happens when one is saved. At the moment one is saved he is crucified with Christ, dead to sin, also called a spiritual circumcision as Paul describes, and raised with Christ to walk in a newness of life, essentially..."born again." It doesnt save us but it is a command and should ne treated as such out of obedience and a public testimony of faith. Hope this helped.
