@xino....baptism from scripure does always tell of emerssion. Afterall, one cannot "come out of the water" unless he/she is emerssed. Jesus told the disciples to go and make disciples, baptising them. It's not a suggestion from our Lord but a command, however, baptism does not save (the man on the cross next to Christ wasn't baptised yet Christ said to him "this very day you will be with me in paradise." Baptism is an act obedience and an outward expression of am internal/spiritual happening that happens when one is saved. At the moment one is saved he is crucified with Christ, dead to sin, also called a spiritual circumcision as Paul describes, and raised with Christ to walk in a newness of life, essentially..."born again." It doesnt save us but it is a command and should ne treated as such out of obedience and a public testimony of faith. Hope this helped.

18. The Gift of Prophecy:
One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is prophecy. This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and was manifested in the ministry of Ellen. G. White . As the Lord's messenger, her writings are a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction. They also make clear that the Bible is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. (Joel 2:28, 29; Acts 2:14-21; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 12:17; 19:10.

This is my biggest problem with SDA's

Lao, you are confusing my statements with someone else. In not one single statement I have made have I said that I thought you were making Jesus out to be a created being. That has absolutely nothing to do with my question.
That is good then but Cenallen continues to make out I say something else and believe what I do not teach. All his accusations are false and he is making me out to be a liar and a deceiver.

Her writings may be an authoritative source of truth But SDA doctrine is not based on her writings. If she says something contrary to the Bible then she would not be a prophet or a source of truth.

where Jesus or The Father cast out demons 3rd party?"

Jude 1:9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

The problem is that you guys dont believe she says anything contrary to the Bible because you are interpreting the Bible through Ellen White lenses.

Lao, you know what you are saying and teaching. Don't let anyone get under your skin. You can only do your best to explain after that its out of your hands.

I am asking questions, not because I want to prove people wrong, I too want the truth. So in all things we should never feel that we have attained but that we are still moving forward. We should never be stagnant in our faith. All I ask is that you remain as open minded as you wish others to be. Never trying to find ways to defend a view but rather a way to uncover the truth in all things.

I never interpret the Bible through the Bible through the eyes of Ellen White and I am a teacher in church. Ellen White is not mentioned that much in church, people use the Bible

The 7th day Adventist church was around way before Jehovah witnesses. The 7th day Adventist roots are form the Millerite movement of the 1830s and 1840s; and the 7th day adventist church was officially founded in 1863.

Jehovah witnesses: The group emerged from the Bible Student movement—founded in the late 1870s by Charles Taze Russell with the formation of Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society—with significant organizational and doctrinal changes under the leadership of Joseph Franklin Rutherford.

The Bible Student movement is the name adopted by a Millennialist[1] Restorationist Christian movement that emerged from the teachings and ministry of Charles Taze Russell, also known as Pastor Russell. Members of the movement have variously referred to themselves as Bible Students, International Bible Students, Associated Bible Students, or Independent Bible Students. The origins of the movement are associated with the formation of Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society in 1881.

Charles Taze Russell Beginning in July, 1879 he began publishing a monthly religious journal, Zion's Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence. The journal is now published by Jehovah's Witnesses on a semi-monthly basis under the name, The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom. In 1881 he co-founded Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society and in 1884 the corporation was officially registered,

Well, I find some of the SDA's beliefs bizarre to say the least, but you guys do believe in the Trinity and that Jesus was God in the flesh and not some created being right? At least you are right on track with something as vital as that.

Thanks for responding to my questions

That's what they said about Jesus too. And when Paul was teaching resurrection the Sadducees did not believe in resurrection Act 23:8

So I will ask again.

"can you find anywhere in the bible where Jesus or The Father cast out demons 3rd party?"

[/COLOR][/B]Jude 1:9
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Notice these two verse

Zec 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Notice its not 3rd party

Jud 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

where the Lord rebukes the devil. There can be no stronger condemnation than being rebuked by the Lord. Compare on 2 Peter 2:11.

thank you very much for that :) that is exactly what I was looking for, but when I looked up the passages I found this
zechariah 3
3 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by.
6And the angel of the Lord protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.

it appears in these passages its an angel speaking for God.

So you don't believe what verse 2 says "And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee" ?

I believe in verse 6-7 says the same thing and its not the Lords lips moving

6 And the angel of the Lord protested unto Joshua, saying,
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.

Angel of the Lord. That is, “the Angel which is the Lord,” meaning Christ ( see on Ex. 23:20, 21).

The “Angel” plainly refers to “the messenger [Angel] of the covenant” (Mal. 3:1), that is, to Christ

sorry, I cannot go with angel refers to Christ. You'll lose me here every time.

p.s Malachi 3:1 I believe is referring to John the baptist.

Exo 3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
Exo 3:3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
Exo 3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

The word mal’ak, “angel,” means “messenger,” and is translated as often one way as the other. Christ was ever the Messenger of God to Israel
