Now I may hurt some peoples feeling and I’m very sorry, but every person I have ever spoken to that has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder doesn’t accept Jesus as their lord and savior or didn’t before they were diagnosed or they have some crazy version of who Jesus is.
Can anyone help me out with this?

While I believe that demons can cause this, I think it is very unwise to claim that "people with a bipolar disorder are possessed"

if we are to label it as such, there are many, many other things that would have to be added to the definition

Depression, Schizophrenia, all random impulses people get that are not "them".

(Have you never ever in your life felt a strong urge to do something that you would normally never do? Do you think this was demons?)

I believe it was Satan / Demons whispering in my ear. I think they cause depression and other problems.

Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

This is a sad story, a true story.
Today in Spain a double infanticide has been all but resolved.
The bodies of two children, 2 and 6 years of age were found burned to the bone.
Now, when those children disappeared the father was a suspect, and the bones were found right away. This was eleven months ago. The find was totally botched, and the bones were identified as small animal bones.
It was known the father of the missing children had been burning something there on his own parents farm, overnight.
This past week another expert, an anthropologist was consulted, and reviewing those same bones found eleven months ago, identified them as the remains to two children of approximately 2 and 6 years of age.
The father, diagnosed with bipolar syndrome, stated in his interrogation that he was only burning cats and dogs. Don't be shocked, in much of Spain people kill, torture and generally abuse animals as entertainment.
The father of the children, for the past eleven months has been leading authorities to one place, then to another, and to another with various stories to keep them from returning to the original find, however the anthropologist's opinion was solicited anyway, and the grisly find was confirmed.
My point is this, the father has the perspicacity to continually lead authorities away from his horrid crime, so why was he diagnosed bipolar. Now experts have declared him sane.
Here is a point to consider also, has anyone ever heard of someone going crazy and doing something good? I will not say it is demonic, but I will not say it is not either. My thinking and belief has always been if someone has the gift to identify demons that person would most likely also have the gift to cast it out because our God, Yaheh, is a God of order and not confusion, amen.

Have you ever looked up the traits of someone that is possessed? It is the same as bipolar.

I believe people have to use discernment. I think sometimes what people believe to be a case of mental illness is actually demon possession or oppression. I also feel there are cases where people believe its demon possession but it is actually a mental illness.

You would be assuming that everyone suffering from demonic possession exhibits the same symptoms, then. Do they?

Scripture teaches that the sins of the father(parents) are the sins of the son, thus meaning that we are what are parents make us, and are parents are what there parents made them etc. Who we are and the way we make are decisions, isn't just affected by the things in are life today. Who we are and the way we act can be caused by things way before we were born. Satan bringing sin in the world kinda shows you that what I'm saying is true. I don't believe that being by polar means your possessed, but it did get its roots from sin. It just means that your predisposed to the behavior. It could have come from your ancestors... Think of it like this, your ancestors could have lived in a time that was really harsh and them acting in the behavior that is called by polar today, could have been just the way they chose to survive. Your ancestors living like this could very well be the reason you naturally act this way today.

There is a web site called, eat rite for your type. It talks about your blood type and how it can affect your diet, exercise. It talks about blood type affecting behavior etc. I think it could really help you.

My wife is bipolar so I kinda understand were your coming from. At times I to thought that she was just possessed. But I now think that its just a part of her that she has to learn to deny through diet, exercise, the desire to be better and knowledge of how to do this.

The Christian lady I know who I most admire is bipolar! There is a chemical in her brain that is missing. When she takes that chemical into her body her bipolar systems are in control. It is very similar to a diabetic needing insulin.

I think that work needs to be done on the effects of our thoughts and emotions on how our hormonal system works in our body. I have read that when we think good, uplifting thoughts, when we have that top of the world, everything is wonderful feeling, it produces a chemical that helps keep that feeling. Depressing thoughts do just the opposite. I am no doctor!!

I do know that my time spent in meditative, listening prayer, just losing myself in the wonders of my God, even makes my body work better.

^ That chemical would be serotonin :) It's more or less a natural happy- drug. It is also produced upon body contact (so hugs are good!)

Lack of it can cause depression, bipolar disorders etc.

my opinion for what its worth. Some times these things are spiritual in nature. I never wanted to acknowledge that in my life but when the Lord revealed a couple of things to me and then it was validated I had to face the fact that yes as Christians we can be influenced demonically.

With that being said, as with me... The Holy Spirit will minister truth to the believer in these things as He did with me. It is not up to us to cast accusation upon another in assumption. Woe to the Christians who cause another to stumble in their faith due to accusation of demonic possession.

Bless your hearts.

Bipolar disorder runs deep on my moms side, she has it, i have it and so does my younger brother, though me and my mom are saved. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain, to say it's demonic possession is like saying a person born without leggs is incomplete, the fall of man brought on many disease's and illnesses, maybe we have it to bring glory to God, who knows
