Demon possession still happens today, after all the catholic church profits off of exposing it, they even recognize that mental illness is not possession, at least they got that one right
I am saying mental illness is NOT demon possession
 
people can get hit on the head and have all kinds of problems. That is a physical problem not mental. They can go without oxygen for a long time, high fever and so on not mental but physical.

So I would think that retardation is more physical then mental. Maybe not enough oxygen, blood or something like that during pregnancy, but can't really say because I have never studied retardation.

What is the different between oxygen depravation causing brain cell damage and loss, and chemical imbalance causing brain dysfunction?

they are both, in that sense, physical.

IIt's actually quite funny how laying hands on a demon posessed person will expell the demon, in the name of Jesus, but only medication will help with mental illness, have you ever been around a person that was demon posessedthey cannot say Jesus is my Lord, but yet i can, so how is it i could be demon posessed?? I sing to my Jesus, and write poetry to Him, i love God
 
What one says in their heart matters more than what one says in front of others for recognition.
 
THE TERM CRISTIAN HAS BEEN STAINED WITH SIN. WHY WOULD LOVE USE THE TERM CRISTIAN TO DEFINE ITSELF.
 
As with the young man who was blind, and the religious officials asked the Lord who sinned...sometimes it's just so the glory of God will be revealed.

Medically speaking, bi-polar disorder is caused by neurotramsmitter (and hormone) imbalance, and can be corrected with medication. The person with bi-polar, in my limited experience at least, will not typically do "insane" things to another.
I do think caution should be exercised in judging these matters, and the Holy Spirit will certainly reveal truth to believers; wisdom freely given when asked for. :)
Since this is not normally a sin matter, as brothers we are not called to judge it. These are my thoughts, FWIW.

Mediate -- glad to know you have a sense of humor. Also I started this post about pointing that out

Now I may hurt some peoples feeling and I’m very sorry, but every person I have ever spoken to that has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder doesn’t accept Jesus as their lord and savior or didn’t before they were diagnosed or they have some crazy version of who Jesus is.

Carey -- do you know any mental illness people asking someone to expel their demon? Again I believe most of these people to not even accept Jesus as their lord and savior. They refuse to believe in demons. So why would they ask someone to get rid of their demon

Will you please define love for me. I ask this because if you can define love(biblical definition), then you will know how to accept love, and if you know how to accept love, you know how to accept god, because god is love. And if you know how to accept god, then you know how to deny self(the bipolar disorder). I hope this helps!!

The possessed individual may possess no knowledge whatsoever that they are possessed. Thus, bringing a possessed victim’s behaviors and actions to his or her attention may confuse or frighten him or her. Confusion can also accompany aggressive actions and behavior
sudden changes to vocabulary such as becoming abnormally profane or abusive

· sudden urges to hurt people and animals for no
· changes in normal routines : sleeping all day suddenly or complete lack of appetite, or sudden onset of gluttony

· severe constipation {I am totally serious about this, 'they' can make your colon septic and kill you this way. I personally know several people who were unable to have a bowel movement for 3 weeks during demonic attacks and very nearly died from it.}

· aversion or hatred when speaking about God or other Biblical subject matter

· Sleep Disturbances: Some possession cases have reported that the victim requires very little sleep or that he or she sleeps excessively for hours or even
 
psychomom -- why has everyone that I know of that has taking that medicine say it makes them feel numb. Why do these medicine numb people? The lord said People will wax cold / NUMB ???

Can you give scriptual evidence that these types of occurances happened during demonic possessions?
