I want this thread to be a place where people share bible verses, songs, pictures and other things that can encourage others.

i used to be strong in the lord, my heart was always on fire for him and i started to be able to trust him and i was enjoying doing everything i did for him. but i got cocky and told god to let the devil bring his best because i truly thought god and i were strong enough not to fall. well god was strong enough but i wasn't, i was shattered and i am doing my best to keep going forward and i am some days really happy and i think to myself maybe now i can have the relationship i had with god again. But secretly i am scared of the devil, i am scared because no matter how strong i think i am in god he can crush me like he did. I was close to god and i was on a brand new level of growth but the devil shattered it. I am so confused and timid in my faith now, what if i get close to god again and then the devil shatters it again?

Hello brother,
Don't be afraid of the devil because our God is much greater. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us to put on the whole armor of God that we may withstand the enemy. We can never do it by ourselves that is why we always need to be reminded that God is with us. If you have an ipod, keep listening to an audio Bible, worship songs, or online sermons that will keep you strong. I know we can never be strong all the time. The enemy tries his nest 24/7 to weaken us with doubts and fears. But remember, it is in our weakness that His grace is sufficient and all the more His power is made perfect. Keep making the choice to hold on and stand up for Jesus, you will see His mighty presence in ways that will amaze you in knowing that He is so real and He is all powerful. Most of all, He longs for you to always draw near.
