I'm sure you don't like that Ugly...that is why there are plenty of forums for you to check out instead of the ones you don't like. This is not a strict website with only "certain posts" you can post. If it were, then I can see a reason for the "threads per week" rule. But just because something isn't "relevant" to you doesn't mean it's irrelevant. Or anyone else for that matter.

Godsson, the problem is, some of them have agendas and are trying to force their agendas on everyone else.

I agree with that if this whole problem is referring to those who come, get banned, and then are not allowed to post anymore. I don't think that's who he's referring to, though.

we should police ourselfs i think and feel i know the bible forum gets alot of post but please do not limit the prayer forum.......

No no, you're right. I don't deserve the same rights as someone who abuses the site with flagrant, pointless, mindless posts. I should be the one punished. What was i thinking?

wow the sarcasm is dripping tonight.

I don't mind mindless post in the mis. forum. I thought that was the purpose. a forum for people to be goofy.

I do think that people should be limited to 7 NEW threads per forum a week. You can spend some time and write what your thinking in paragraph form and post in the same thread your thoughts instead of creating a new one everything you think of something to add to previous thoughts.

if you post only one thread a day you might actually have a conversation, but often people post and never check or respond back to anyone.

besides too much time on the computer can't be healthy. people should get out and meet REAL people to befriend if possible and we should encourage people to do that.

If the forum thread is summed up better for the reader, then maybe more threads could get read; even if they are on the next page. I noticed some forum threads have great titles and then I open them up, and bam it’s an article (Pick and Choose)! :eek:

I don't think there should be a limit on POSTS, but the creation of 10 new threads per week REALLY ought to be enough for anyone, the way I see it (says the girl who's only started 3 threads since joining over a year ago :p).

I like silliness as much as anyone, but I think we need to be careful that our silliness isn't violating the "weep with those who weep" verse........a lot of hurting people come to this site looking for help, and it bothers me to see their threads bumped off the front pages by too much silliness/random thread creation, to me it gives the impression that we don't take their troubles seriously. It also makes it harder to find the people who need help and advice, if you have to go back through several pages of new threads.

So, we should ALL be careful that our thread-creation/posting is glorifying to God and edifying to the Body. Silliness can be edifying IF kept in it's proper place........generally the misc. forum ;)

And, right now, after considering this topic, I realize that my sig. is awfully silly, and I need to be more careful to make sure that it doesn't show up when answering a post by someone who's in trouble......did I just tell myself to shape up? :eek:

There is no way to dictate what posts your signature shows up in. Whatever signature you create will change for all posts you have, even past posts. So even if you changed your signature to respond to a post, when you changed it back, it will change back in that post as well.
