I had the same problem...Here's what a true friend told me: "You have to remember Christians are still human, and still imperfect and can still be prone to our natural personalities, hurts and situations.
Being a Christian doesn't mean we all of a sudden start acting a certain way, but rather it starts us on a journey of growth. And different people are in different places on their journey. Some grow more in one area than another. So don't let people interfere with your walk with God. The relationship you and God share has nothing to do with anyone else. While its true its good to learn and fellowship with others, we can't allow these interactions to dictate to us who God is."
This was after I got verbally "stoned" for my previous divorce--people on here can come across as harsh. I'm not exaggerating when I say this: I was ready to leave this faith, before God even got truly started on me. I pray that you don't allow others to get you down, ever again. What this friend said helped alot, and I pray that it will help you, too. God Bless you.
PS~ NO way!--currently listening to Christian radio, and there's the passage from James in one of the songs!
