Ok there is way to much stuff to correct as far as what has been mangled in the scriptures.
Ive seen grace trampled and faith used in a way only the flesh could pull off.

Cut to the chase:

Are you going to lose your salvation?
If so why?
If not How will you not?

You were asserting you were following Him. I asked for passages that show where He is for you?

As for anyone not knowing they are saved by Grace through faith, I have not seen that. Could you post where anyone has said that? In truth, I think you are taking a circuitous route to take credit for your faith, when people have been telling you all along faith is a gift from God. It is given graciously.

Faith is the means through which God persuades you of the Truth, and moves you to act on that faith (for whatever purpose, baptism, evangelism, prayer, trusting in His ability to deliver you).

Please show me where we must "permit" God to do anything. (Whether God the Holy Spirit, Father or Son).

You seem to have been taken to a passage in Hebrews 6 which has unecessarily terrified Christians because it is falsely taught.

The passage was specifically to those making the transition from the Old Covenant which was fulfilled in Jesus and passed away to the New. The warning is throughout Scripture, the Gospels many, to the primary audience, the Israelites.

If they came near to partake of the good things related to the promised New Covenant, but turned away and returned to sacrificing animals and the temple system there would be no more sacrifice for sins. If you proceed in Hebrews, the writer speaks to them about things gentiles would not have understood (Melchezidek, priesthood, atonement and so on).

A believing Christian will not do this. Nominal Christians (people who come near and sample, or partake of the the things related to the Kingdom) do this all the time: many have departed from the new temple, the body of Christ, the Church for Judaism itself!

Likewise a believing Christian can not commit the unpardonable sin.

But these people surely did not have saving faith - if they had, they would have actually believed what was said!

I don't find this difficult to understand.

Not all who say Lord Lord are Christians. Mitt Romney uses Jesus' Name and he is certainly not a Christian.

mari, the Lord MUST teach you all Truth. Man cannot. I, too, MUST learn all Truth from God.

That said, I follow Christ because He leads my life, because I've seen His power show me His Truth. :)

The Holy Spirit GRIPPED your flesh, squirrel, you believed THROUGH FAITH, and, God gracedky, then and there, saved your soul :)
Now, I grew up in Christian home, so, my telling you reborn was not my TRYING to serve God before that.. just saying that because, sounds like, you may not have grown up.in Christian home, notvtyat it really matters, but, I think, statistics say that around 5% or so come to Christ if not done before age 18. So, one more thing to think about, squirrelriend :)

You are not going to lose it, but, surely, Hebrews 6, to me, anyway, speaks of one who partook of the Holy Spirit, not just that, they 'tasted the heavenly gift, and, were enlightened, before that, .

Biggest question may be: Can one have the Holy Spirit inside them, having ALREADY been 'born of God' (regenerated) and still FALL AWAY ?

Hebrews 6:4-6, to me, anyway, and , thousands of God-fearing, Holy Spirit believing, Jesus our high Priest Loving people believe as I do, tells that, yes, this is HOW , one way, anyway, one can LEAVE what WAS a genuine saving faith, person , of having BEEN TRUE REPENTANCE saved.

Jesus said no one knows the Father except the one who came from the father. Jesus said He will be in us making the the Father known to us. He in us and keeping us in the Father so the world might see he loves us just as he has loved the Son. I don't fully know him. I don't know completely all that God has done for us, how he did it, what everything he did means and how he wants me to respond to it.. I imagine If I remain in Christ that I will have all eternity to ponder the extraordinary act of mercy and grace he has bestowed upon men and still not be able to fully understand.

So what I am saying is keep learning from him, keep letting him correct our ideas about Him, keep seeking him, keep knocking, keep asking him, keep studying his Words. God has proclaimed Christ as His heir and set him at his Right hand and made Him Lord over all creation and is bring all things in to obedience of him. He has been proved by the resurrection as the first Son, the first fruit of God Spirit. God the creator of all things has accepted Jesus as a perfect sacrifice for all sin. He gives us His Holy Spirit to teach us, lead us, guide us in all TRUTH and the TRUTH is in itself Christ in us being our WAY and our LIFE.. For some reason people have a problem with me telling them We have to continue on in HIM. then the freak out if I say we have things we are commanded to do, they act like doubt and not knowing is and unforgivable sin.

They are saying I don't know the Message of God (including you abiding). The Gospel Message I know is The Lord Jesus Christ our all living, interacting, saving, helping, healing, enlightening, protecting, providing , delivering, loving, creating, correcting, judging, restoring, refreshing, reviving, renewing, sanctifying, justifying, purifying God. So I do not know any of these other gospels I only seek to know Christ and be known by him.

Christ came not in peace, but in condemnation, for the world, but once you receive His peace of Himself inside you, His grace, His Love, His mercy , you go forward following Him.

I disagree.

If a person, full of sin, responds to the grace of God enough to be fully regenerated and saved, how much more will they respond to that Grace after they are regenerated and saved?

Much more.

If God won't take away the gifts He's given us who can take them away???
 
BTW i doubt every single day of my Christian walk.. I doubt my intellect has the ability to know or understand him as He is.i doubt my will is strong enough to keep me on His path, i doubt my emotions have the ability to know the love and compassion He has for us and the desires he has for us to to love each others. I doubt I have the ability to stand in temptation. I doubt I have the strength to preserver in tests in trial. i doubt I have the ability to communicate this amazing work I see him doing in my life and the life of others. i doubt i have enough faith to stay anchored on the Rock of ages. I have mostly doubt and only one lil grain of faith to put in Jesus, i believe He is able to do in me and in this world ALL HE HAS SAID HE WILL DO.

like I said If throwing my rebellious doubting behind into an eternal lake of fire is part of removing all rebellion against God. I believe that is exactly what He will do. So I'm gonna believe in HIM, He is the Gospel.

I believe, I have to give everything I am and have. I believe Him when he says that is what I have to do. Apart from Him I am nothing, I have nothing, I know Nothing. There is Nothing eternal in me except Him. So if I have anything Except Christ working for me and in me. I have Nothing... No promise, No salvation, No eternal kingdom.
 
I see every IF YOU in His WORD there are hundreds... cause I Know He is God.. When He says IF YOU i know If I DO NOT Neither will HE. I fear for people that are taught to over look His IF YOU's.

That is the stuff that I don't get..How can we respond to grace? I think we act on faith that He is God and if we do what He says, He will do what He has promised. Grace to me is his power set in motion by our obedience. There is no way to respond to the grace I know.. I can only stand back and watch His Grace in awe of God working through His Son..
 
this is what makes me sad for us.. God accepted Jesus's sin thousands of years before we were even born and you did not have to make peace with God for Christ work to be complete.

But, We follow this one lil IF YOU WILL believe in your heart and confess with your mouth Jesus Christ is Lord you will be saved.. so people obey this one IF YOU WILL then from God they receive an eternal hope in the Salvation of Christ the benefit of a clean conscious before God.. Then they start teaching it's all done, you don't have to pay attention to any more of Gods IF YOU WILL's.. well it was all done before you obeyed.

God wants to take out our heart of stone and give a heart of flesh so there are some more IF YOU WILLS' To Obey.. Then he wants to put his Spirit in us and move us to live by his Word.. So there are more IF YOU WILL's..

God want's to transform us into the image of his Son so we can bring him Glory.. Do his IF YOU WILL's and watch what he does.. But, For Gods Sake don't be teaching people not to obey all Gods IF YOU WILL's

You have already benefited from your first act of obedience why would you keep people from knowing more of his goodness with your teaching. Just cause Salvation is all you want of God don't keep people from knowing his Joy, His Glory, His Hope, His perseverance, His love, his deliverance and all he has promised us. IF WE WILL.

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
 
Rein, nothing your saying is incorrect. Yes all promises are conditional.
All of us are to seek holiness and humility and we love Him by obeying Him.
Then we have fellowship with Him. But this is imparted to us if we trust Him.
The very heart that desires this is given to us.

Please dont think that doctrines about His faithfulness and Lovingkindness
are just excuses for lawlessness. Or passivity. In reality it is true Faith.
One that doest stagger with its fulfillment in the flesh.

I think this has gone nowhere. But in alot of misunderstandings.
