My favorite bible character is Moses...he sat in counsel with God and had the glory shown upon him also seen God from his back side..I mean he couldnt talk like most and told God so yet he was so humble and took a nation into the promise land..well a few at least lol..But he is my favorite person..to have been raised in royalty and yet wasnt a brat he was compastionate for the people of Isreal. Being a person who loves to be in the presence of God i just admire Moses that he was one person in the bible and yet talked with God many of a times....and my favorite thing God told his sister and broether.."TO MEN I SPEAK IN DREAMS AND VISIONS , BUT TO MY SERVANT MOSES I SPEAK FACE TO FACE.." This gets to me everytime I read it soooo awesome..Anyways Moses wasnt a brainiac but he had a heart for Gods people...

when I was little I was taken from my family and placed in foster care at three , something specific that has always stayed with me.. I was locked outside many times during storms by my foster parent ...sometimes for hours... When the lightning would" clap" I remember being so scared and seeing one thing off in the distance that brought comfort .. as I looked through rain drops beating on my face...every time I saw "a giant tree". all by itself.. It became a friend ... when I read Isaiah 61 " they will be called the righteous oaks, a planting of the Lord" I knew immediately this verse was for me... I relate so
Much of what God has done in my life to Isaiah 61.. God is restoring and rebuilding , restoring things that were long devastated for generations at the time of my adoption... Gods hand was there the while time.. Daniel in the lions den.. the woman at the well ... Although I did not have five husbands , I looked for love in all the wrong places... I sing praises and glory to God for all He has brought me through.. It is because of trials He has brought me into a very deep relationship with Him ... He is not even close to being done with us yet.... peace in Christ

Looks like many prophets are hanging out in this thread ... Many have appeared :) Moses, Daniel, NeHemiah , and others ..
" Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart , with all your soul , and with all your mind..this is the first and greatest commandment.. and the second is like unto it . Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets " :)
Where two or three gather in my name , I am there!

Rachel for so many reasons <3

David because he wrote Psalms and also because he was a man after God's heart

From the NT hands down Simon Peter he was the rock
he also got to walk on water and hold Christ's hand

I'd say Mary but I couldn't have handled her burden of seeing Jesus crucified
but she also held him as a baby and that's a wow

Maybe Timothy cause Paul saw so much in him :)

Oooops I couldn't say just one

Solomon is my absolute favorite because he wrote Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. He was also the wisest person to ever live, so that's saying a lot. I do hate what happened to him in the latter part of his life - allowing many of his foreign wives to lead him astray and into idolatry. That wasn't very wise.

Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land (Pr 31:23). Job demonstrated for us what it meant for a man and husband to be "respected at the gate." (Job 29: 7-25). That's why Job is one of my favorites.

I like Joseph because of how he treated his fiance Mary. He decided not to put her away publicly unlike the heinous way Judah treated Tamar.

Deborah, Abigail and the Wise Woman of Abel are among my favorite Biblical wome

Many of us would have looked at wealth and Moses looked at people (same way like Jesus) (Deu_18:15 The LORD your God will send you a prophet, an Israelite like me. You must listen to him. ).

I´m glad you shed your words on this to me.

Thanks!

(...) the woman at the well ... (...)

What were those reasons she had more than one "husband"?

What was that thing she wanted to find in each man she found? Pleasure? Money? Safety? What?

Interesting the way Jesus said -without saying- she wasn´t "OKEY", not being rude or judgemental.

Wow! What a friend the Lord could be, personally.
