About the morning after pill.... taken directly from the Plan B One-Step website.....
What it is
Plan B One-Step® is your backup plan—emergency contraception in just one pill. The sooner you take it, the better it works. When taken as directed—within 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure—approximately 7 out of 8 women who would have gotten pregnant will not become pregnant after taking Plan B One-Step®.
Plan B One-Step® is generally safe and effective, and is FDA-approved. It uses the same ingredient found in many birth control pills, levonorgestrel, to help prevent pregnancy from happening.
What it isn't
Plan B One-Step® is not RU-486 (the abortion pill)—it won't work if you're already pregnant, and it should not affect or terminate an existing pregnancy.
Plan B One-Step® is a backup method of preventing pregnancy, but it isn’t regular birth control and should not be used that way. It’s not as effective as other methods of birth control used consistently and correctly, so it’s important to have another reliable source of birth control that’s right for you. It won't protect you from HIV infection (the virus that causes AIDS) or any other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
As for the original question....
I believe in personal decision and the right for everyone to have freedom of choice... But, I, personally do not condone abortion, nor have I or will I have one myself.... But I also do not and will not condemn those who have had abortions as it is not my place. I feel that Christ has not put me here to condemn sinners (besides, we are all sinners) but to show compassion and Christ's love as he did while he was here on Earth.
I have no qualms with birth control. God does not place the calling of raising children on everyone, and I feel like if He really wanted someone to have a child, He would bless them with a child regardless if they were using birth control or not.
From personal experience, I chose to have my tubes tied after my 2nd child... Although she was my second child (I have a 3 year old boy, and a 3 week old girl), she was my 4th pregnancy. I have had many complications with all pregnancies, becoming very ill with both of my full term pregnancies, this last one almost killed me (High blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, Gastritis, Upper GI bleed, and severe anemia are just a few things that were caused due to my pregnancies).... My husband and I earnestly prayed through the whole pregnancy and took into great consideration all of our options for birth control... Neither of us felt convicted by our decision and proceeded with the tubal ligation.
