Wow they finally made a movie about this! When I was a boy my best friend (who never got the chance to grow old) couldn't stop talking about The Hobbit no matter how many times I told him I wasn't interested. I always told him that I'd wait for the movie to come out. :( He said they couldn't make a movie about it because it was so far above what they could do back then with special effects, and he was right.

Yea I feel like I owe it to him, plus maybe now I'll see what he was so excited about. He loved reading fiction but was never more excited about any other book/s. I was never into books.

Yes something will happen... a lot of people will happen to feel very foolish!
 
The whole reason people think the world is going to end on December 21st is because that is when the calendar the Mayans spent their entire lives making will finally have no more dates. Stupid people, you really think the Mayans could see the future? Personally, I think they finally got sick of making calenders...I would have after a year or two not to mention decades or even centuries!
 
I've already lived through over a hundred "apocalypses", and I'm only 26.
