Many of you know I am divorced, few don't. Many of you probably don't know that I have three kids, two sons who are 5 and 1, and a daughter who is 3. I have reached a very crucial deciding point in my life containing these two factors, so like it or not you will hear more of my story because I could use all the prayer I can get...

I left my wife last march 2 days before my birthday because I found out she was cheating on me, multiple times with at least 2 different guys. I helped her pay for a lawyer hoping we could work things out with one lawyer, that was not the case. Before I knew it, she had custody of the kids, and was taking a lot of money from my paycheck every week despite getting paid a lot more than me. I hired my own lawyer and tried to gain joint custody and instead he put me into 800 dollars of debt on top of what I already paid him. So I fired him and gave up.

I knew my ex-wife had walked away from the church, and she had a boyfriend regularly staying with her. I knew something was making me uncomfortable but I couldn't place what it was. Last Friday while at work (I work 3rd shift) I got an overwhelming feeling around 12:00-1:00 to pray for my kids, so I did. Come Saturday someone gets a hold of me to let me know that around that exact time on Friday night/Saturday morning, they got a call from my ex-wife because her boyfriend attempted suicide, and when they called they next day her boyfriend was out of the hospital and alone with the kids. This person also went on to tell me that my ex-wife openly admits that she lies to me about everything that goes on. She also constantly drops the kids off with other people with no extra clothes, unbathed, and in dirty clothes.

This past September I started school, but I do believe I will stop for a while after this semester, in order to keep a closer watch on my kids. I know my ex will drop them off to me whenever I want them, so I will get to see them more and keep a closer eye on things, and if things don't improve, I may have to take more severe action, such as taking full custody.

Guys, I need all the prayer I can get on this. I may be stronger than I used to be, but I still don't feel a lot of it. I know when my ex asks why I'm quitting school I will not lie to her, and I will have her and her boyfriend trying to start a fight. Despite the fact that I'm not scared of either of them, I still worry, mostly about my kids. Again, please pray for me, and my kids. Also pray for my ex and her boyfriend that they can return to their relationships with Jesus, and harbor no bitterness against them.

I will absolutely be praying. I can't imagine how frustrating or hard that must be. I admire that you put so much value on your kids and desire for your ex and her boyfriend to come to know Jesus. Don't let these circumstances, as dire as they seem, to get you down but instead learn and grow in the Lord and all that He has for you. You're doin a great job from the sound of things.

Thank you for sharing this with us. It must be heartwrenching for you. I pray for strength, guidance and wisdom for you. I pray that God will do whatever it takes for your ex-wife and her bf to surrender to the Lord. Mostly I pray that the presence of God would be strongly with your children and that He will cover them with His loving hand.

Please keep us updated so we will know how to pray further.

If I were you I would look into hiring a private investigator so you can show a judge exactly what she's been doing so you can get full custody of your kids.

Keep a diary of events and log the names of witnesses/contact information and photos. Extremely helpful in these cases.

I feel sorry for you (it must be very hard for you)- but most of all-i feel sorry for your kids. :( I believe that a child at age 5 kinda knows what is going on in his family. And a one year old-oh my-he is just a baby-he needs his mother. I will definitely pray for you and your kids.

I've heard many a people tell me to keep a journal of exactly when I pick up the kids and what kind of state they're in, so that's a go! I also plan on getting a written statement from the person who talked to me just in case too.

thank you everyone for your support, I appreciate it.

Praying for you and your kids! I can't even imagine how difficult it must be to know your kids might not be in good hands... I will definitely keep on praying.
