Has anyone else felt as if you always needed a guy in your life? Well i for one was that way, but now i've come to the realization that i don't need a man to make me happy. I've got God and that means more to me than anything, if i always had to rely on a guy to make me happy , then i don't think i would be as happy as i am with God.

So what are your opinions about this ladies? Do you feel that you need a man to make you happy? Or do you think the same way as me?

but we are sociable creatures....lol...i don't need a significant other in my life...but it is sure fun when they are...

Nah, but really, I think that is a good attitude for women - and everyone, really - to have. I know, speaking for myself, I am way more attracted to a self-reliant, empowered woman than a woman who has no self-identity other than that she has to be someone's girlfriend.
 
All great comments and so true. Ive only relised this recentley... that all i need is god. There is a longing and needing in everyones life that can't be filled by anyone but god. I have now learnt to lean on him... to go to him 1st in every situation... and most of all i dont need a man in my life because god will provide me with everything i need. I look forward to meeting someone and having someone in my life but its not something i need to be happy. God will bring me more happiness than anyone can :-)
 
It's taken a very long, long time, but I'm starting to enjoy things like my freedom and not having to answer to anyone or work around someone else's schedule (perhaps this could be seen as a greedy reason for coming to enjoy single life?)

There are many times I long to be married... but then I listen to the married people!! Such as... dealing with their in-laws... or their spouse being angry that they're attending a class at church because the spouse thinks they should be at home with the kids instead... financial woes because one controls the money and spends without giving the other an equal allowance... and on and on. Listening to all this temporarily cures my wish to be married!

Do you single ladies feel though that you've become so independent that if a guy does come along, you might be like, "Oh yeah, what could you give me or do for my life that I can't already take care of myself?" (Some men will say sex, but hey... as time goes by, that doesn't seem as important anymore either and I surely wouldn't want to marry someone just for sex.)

Do you also find that you have nice guys or guy friends that want to try a relationship, but you know you don't feel that way, and they think they can "convince" you? I've found myself in that situation a few times and it makes me a little defensive because they act like they know what's better for your life than you do.

I told God He's pretty much going to have to hit me over the head when the right guy comes along because sometimes I'm afraid I'll miss him.

What about you other independent gals out there?

seoul- First of all i got a headache from glancing at the many words you typed lol. And second I know i'm young, but I just don't think you should be afraid of the right guy coming along. Yeah i haven't been out much, but i do know that God will take care of us and doesn't want us to worry. :]

Think about the jars ladies! how are you going to open them?!?! Think about the tyres on your cars! they're not going to change themselves!!! you neeeeeeeeed us! ;)
 
men need women... women need men, but not to the point of desperation, or having no identity other than the one your with.
 
if women doesn't need a men..then why God commanded us " Go to the world and multiply " ?

and to kill spiders....take the trash out......mow the lawn....clean the gutters......change the light bulbs.......unblock the loo........:p :p :p

So, you're volunteering to change my tires then, Sharp? :) I may take you up on that... As far as the jars... I can do that :).
