I, can, answer, this, question. I, use, to, believe, that, Hell, was, a, place, of, actual, fire, to, torment, the, souls, of, the, damned, until, I, was, shown, that, an, everlasting, destruction, from, the, Lord's, presence, was, the, torment, itself. God, is, love, peace, joy, a, Comforter, and, where, He, is, not, the, opposite, is, true. Without, love, without, peace, without, joy, without, one, to, Comfort, then, nothing, remains, but, pure, torture. I, was, a, heretic, in, believing, that, God, would, torture, souls, with, literal, fire, just, because, they, chose, not, Him . But, by, their, freewill, they, have, chosen, those, things, which, are, not, of, God, and, now, God, stands, justified, in, my, eyes.
Dude. No you did not just triple double dared me :)

What I conclude is that is out of 4 pages of text is that NO ONE on CC has converted (however anyone wants to explain convert) a single soul by disputing constantly with them about doctrine. That's the point. While the debate continues, hundreds view the posts & are either turned off by the debate, or impressed by the false doctrine. This is why the Scriptures say:

Titus 3:10
10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
The apostle Paul admonishes the young pastor Timothy to try and reach these people. But if they will not hear you, reject them and throw them out. Congregations cannot afford to leave wolves in their midst.
So it is in CC chat. Instead of arguing with heretics for days, they need to be turned in to the moderators to make the proper judgement.

I understand where you are coming from, but you have to realize that if those who teach contrary to Scripture were so fastly removed without having their doctrine proved, then those who did hear what that person said might believe what he were permitted to say before he were to get banned. Allowing that person stay away, there is still hope for that person and people who holds such doctrine are given an opportunity to see if what they believe is scriptural or not. God bless.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Matthew 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

That above is the job and function of the instructed disciplined ministers.
I may listen to them but I have not wanted to attempt to tread where some of these tread because they have studied their way and the others to know exactly what the wrong is and its angle as well as what it is attempting to tear down.

I have not seen that here but another place and I would not attempt that because I have not that got that type of knowledge or understanding they have,
I do not even have the skill of using technology like they have.

They are literate beyond my level. They spell right and punctuate right and type good.
They even speak correctly.

Correction:

Allowing that person stay away

Should be:

Allowing that person to stay awhile

I was just thinking about the original post question asking about "how many conversions?" I'm sure it would be impossible to say. Also, it might not be the right question at all. The Gospel has components...one plants, another waters, etc. So, if this site even provides a tiny nourishment for a planted seed then it is doing kingdom work. I think trying to calculate numbers of conversions this side of heaven might not be the right idea. As far as "true" conversions, again we have to think about the seed again and the good soil/rocky soil example.

Actually, I asked the question to get readers & posters to see that this issue of arguing with true heretics is not only fruitless, it is dangerous. Most of these heretics WANT a standoff with several christians to promote empathy for the underdog. They believe if the viewers watch them hold their own under fire, those viewers will believe them. After watching 3 or 4 'masters' hammer them with the Word for a couple of days, who would you believe? It's not about calculations when the answer is always ZERO, is it?

This site isn't a Billy Graham crusade.
People come on for different reasons.
It's not about counting things, the kingdom of heaven isn't a head count.- (at least not to us)
(Remember what happened to David when he took a census.)
You plant ideas and you water.
Plus you sometimes get corrected.
We will never know the extent that our idea's might have changed a life; and sometimes we do.
I have gotten plenty of feedback from people who said they were blessed or taught by something I said.
(As I'm sure many others have also.)
Plus, when debating an 'heretical' doctrine, you are planting seeds of truth. I hate to see people kicked off the site
just for being wrong.
That is not supposed to be a reason for banning people.
I like debating people about the things of God, it is how both the readers and us(the posters), learn.

Acts 18:5-6 (NASB) 5 But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul began devoting himself completely to the word, solemnly testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. 6 But when they resisted and blasphemed, he shook out his garments and said to them, "Your blood be on your own heads! I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."

The Apostle Paul didn't debate much. :)

The way I see it is Satan is sitting back laughing his fool head off, about how easy it is to distract man from keeping his focus on Christ, and sinking out of God's site.
What happened to Peter when he walked on the water to meet Jesus?
He walked on the water to meet the LORD, but then came a great dstraction and rather than keeping his focus on Christ he turned to the distraction and began to sink into the sea.

Matthew 14:25-31 (KJV)
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

If Peter had kept his eye (focus) on the LORD and the LORD alone he would not have seen the wind boisterous. There would have been no distraction.

1 Corinthians 7:35 (KJV)
35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

We are to be sharing the love of God with others not doting about foolish questions.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 (KJV)
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

2 Timothy 2:22-26 (KJV)
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Titus 3:9 (KJV)
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Do not allow yourselves to be taken captive by the devil, at his will though such distractions, drawing you away from the LORD, Jesus Christ.

We are to contend for the faith, (Jude 3). Contending for the faith isn't a waste of time.
By doing so we sharpen the Word that is in us, and point others to the Way of Truth;
- (which is Jesus: the Way, the Truth and the Life). (John 14:6)
There is truth and there is error. We are to be shinning cities on a hill, and not coverup the light that is within us.(Matt. 5:14-16)
Also, Paul spent a lot of his time refuting heretical doctrine for the churches' sake, (read his epistles).
The Truth does matter.
