i'm sure this song will make him feel better.
He does have a sense of humor, so he might get a little laugh out of it at least.

Obviously, no song or words are going to fill any real voids here. I wasn't implying that.

participate in things, it makes you more available to other people.

attend open mic nights, art walks, local music performances, trivia nights - events around your city

I especially like the bolded one.

I find that any time we can help someone, even in the smallest way, it's very fulfilling. You don't even have to "officially" be volunteering to do that. Just keep your eyes and ears open for opportunities. Sometimes the smallest things can make a big difference in someone's day. There's also a chance you'll make some friends along the way. Either way, it's still time well spent and doing something Jesus commanded us to do...love people.

yeah, i have volunteered and i go to college and things but no friends yet, i know there are other things i can do but tbh i am trying my best,

i love god and jesus and "thanks for the song" it really did help,

idk what i am doing wrong i think i am a bit larger than life personality wise and maybe that puts people off.

Friends who hang around with you need to have things in common with you. If God made you unique, like He did me, that will be relatively few.

My experience was I never had a lot of people to hang with, but the relationships I make last for life. Love as yourself (once you figure out who that is) and you'll find them.

I'm the same way fanta. Where i live i have no friends, do in part to the fact i can't get out much. Even on CC i know a number of people but really have only one friend.

I got no friends either. I'm not normal. Well, no. It's more like this, I'm not like the other social butterflies. I could make friends, but time and other factors in life tends to draw them elsewhere.

A nod to Niceguy for the Vespers! Love it, great band!

I find, all I really have to do is look at someone, and they're automatically drawn to me.

If you really need help, use the Biebs wink, nod, smile. It never fails.

hey fanta... As you can see many of us here have come from a similar situation... Perhaps meeting or just coming to know you guys in these forums is an insight into the type of friendships we keep outside here... Up close and personal relationships have so many distractions that surround them... In the forums here.. I've notices a significant difference in the spirit of those I keep company here with.. Clean, encouraging , draw you in, very
Little judgement takes place here... it's because of "who" Is in the heart if us that come to gather here that makes this such a good experience ...

What matters more I'm finding, is not the type of friends I have , but the type of friend I am ...

There's nothing wrong with not having an abundance of friends. I don't have any friends either, really. Then again, I don't like throwing the word, 'friend' around very much. The term is used much too loosely nowadays. In my opinion, there is no way to have a bunch of friends anyway. You have acquaintances and other things like that. Friends are few and far in between. In my entire life I haven't had enough friends to count on one hand. A mass of people who claim to be your friends will not stick around, they'll just go to the next interesting thing whenever the time hits.

Although, that doesn't keep me from extending a hand to a few people and offering my friendship. Some people take it, others don't.

It's a lot like dating really. We have to be very selective with the people we choose to surround ourselves with. Their influence will rub off on us, and we want it to be a good one. Try not to be too discouraged over it. I would look at it this way.

Would I rather:
Have a slew of terrible friendships?
or
Wait until a great friendship develops into something that will last?

Pray to God and he will send someone or maybe multiples for you. Oh, and also remember you are never alone. God is your friend, the best one you could ever have. He never leaves you, hurts your feelings, is insensitive, self-absorbed, or any of those other terrible things that us humans tend to be. He'll sit with you as long as you want, no matter what time it is. To me, that's pretty awesome.

zaoman: I love that band too!

I've had plenty of times over the years I've been kind of a lone wolf too, so I can relate.
True friends are really hard to find. Just keep in mind that you won't have to compromise who you are for someone who will be a true friend. The right person or people will accept you for who you are. I'm glad you have God. I don't know what I would do without Him. It's comforting to know He's there no matter what. You can learn a lot in this current time in your life. I know I really learned to rely on God more in the times I felt the most alone in the world. So there are some positives that can come from it.
