In my Hebrew study this morning, a very interesting and informative verse arose, and I believe for many it shows a great distinction between laws, commandments, statutes, and more. Keep in mind this is from the Old Testament.
2Ch 19:10 And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
It has always seemed clear to me that there is a distinction between laws and commandments or statutes and judgments, otherwise the same word would be used for all.
For me this is like lifting the blanket to expose the sheets, revealing that is.
