when the cashier at the walmart check out counter says:"did you find everything you were looking for"???? if i did not would she turn off he register light and come help me find it with 20 people behind me in line or just say merry day 2 you.

When some one is talking to you then says, "you know?" Well, if I already know this, why are you
wasting both our time telling it?

Watch ESPN some time. A player from a team can't answer a question or give an opinion
without using the two words, "you know", again and again, and again,.....

When people say "Excuse yourself" after you belch or something...

What they mean is that they want you to say "Excuse me", but that would be you making a request to be excused, not excusing yourself. To excuse yourself, you'd have to say "I am excused" or something to that effect.

Something people say doesn't make sense:

Person 1: So what did you do at work/school/DisneyLand/other location today?
Person 2: oh nothing. *exits room and/or immerses themselves into a task*

Even though they very obviously did something.

Ok fine. I admit it. =P I tend to say "nothing" when my dad askes how school went. Especially when there happens to be a book within the immediate vincity (or in my hands) Me equals extreme book worm :D:D :D

"ATM machine". The word "Machine" is redundant as ATM stands for Automated Teller Machine. So writing "ATM machine" is in fact Automated Teller Machine machine....huh? o_O

"I slept like a baby". Oh really? So you woke up crying in the middle of the night then your mommy fed you, changed your diaper, and rocked you back to sleep? :eek: That doesn't seem like a sound sleep to me. Lol

But the one that really is anoying.....
Is when you wake up, and go into the kitchen, and some one says...oh, are you up now? :confused:

My point was the "please" (manners)
Some people... what they are really asking is...
"Give me the keys to your car so I Can drive it."
With out the "please may I"...it's more like a demand, then a question.
