Col 3:3 I died and now my life is hidden with Christ in God, and when Christ who is my life shall appear...
Dead men cannot be tempted.
Christ is not tempted.
The more the Lord opens our eyes to see the truth of who we really are, the less we will live from the flesh.
It is not a matter of trying not to sin....or trying to do good...
You are one spirit with Christ, not separate, ONE.
it is in getting the revealtion of this from Father that transforms us.
Sound advice, yet as I have been baptized in the Spirit, and I am on a constant journey to grow closer to Him and to seek His face, I think I have learned that I do not necessarily wish for it to be made easier. In fact, I desire that I may be tempted greatly so as to have God shine through me even more. As for dealing with temptation, I will often read scriptures. Particularly those when Jesus was tempted in the desert. It seems to me that, albeit the temptations in life may be all the more unpleasant and life more difficult, I would wish that I were to be tempted so as God could fill me with His strength and thus have His light shine through me much like a prism.
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
That verse...and then I decide I want to keep my hands.
