A christian woman in that situation would have to go against it. The Bible says we should obey our husbands, but that we should obey them WITHIN the word of God. The woman should fast and pray that her husband changes his mind and that he finds his way back to God.

Sounds like there are some deep issues here. Was he a Christian before? Did you previously settle the issue of not having children somehow? Did you discuss adoption? What was his standing point on this? It might be that the desire for children could be the reason behind all this.

Wow, that's certainly a bombshell...so sorry you're going through this! If this was my husband I would affirm the biblical teachings on marriage...and tell him that I could not live in such a situation. I'm not talking about divorce yet....God may be working on him and patience is good. But I certainly could not, in good conscience, live in a household that was blatantly against God's Word.
There are other ways of having children without going against God's Word. Praying for you sister, that the Spirit will lead him back into the light.

After exhausting every other option, if he is still standing strong with Islam and wanting another wife, I'd go the route of separating. Because that's not a good situation for you.

Depends on who you are and what you feel about it in all aspects and also depends on who the woman is.
She may be a horror who abuses you and is jealous and who developes behaviours so she should be in jail or it could be someone respectable to you who is sincere and someone you can like.
I heard bad stories of breeding , bad breeding going on for money where a woman calculated and planned so she would make money and get such position which calculated theft on her part.
Muslims let woman keep there own money.
So , this other woman could legally not demand or expect half of what you own or make if you make more money than her.
Also if you diverse you get to keep everything.
However it can be very difficult for a muslim woman to diverse is what I hear.
Unless its scam, adultry or criminality etc behind it that is.
Muslims as mormons and amish and similar seem to believe more in the old testament.

Muslims beleive in old testament and the Holy Quran.
I am currently reading the Holy Quran and it has a deeper meaning that is difficult for people understand at first perhaps.
I love the Holy Quran.
Think they beleive along with others such as mentioned in davinci code that bible has been changed to suit wants of people or leaders and political and personal agenda.Some parts removed and some new materia added that perhaps was not original so to say.
Have heard of people who do live happy in such arrangements but it depends on who you are and what you want and will and level you are on with each other.
Ofcourse you would want to love each other for how horrid if he married a enemy of yours who has been threatening kill you and abused and stealing etc ofcourse you would not want accept such a marriage.
Or if he had met someone else and you were horrid to her and said she could not marry him if he with someone treat her in such ways and he need diverse that is if you were a criminal or bully or so forth.Perhaps slandered her.Not that you would but it has happened, these things.
But have seen marriages work with beautiful respect and love.

I'd say introduce him to some more evengelical Christian polygamous groups (try Biblical Families.org • Index for a start) or a Messianic denomination that allows it (Nazarine Yisrealite Allince comes to mine). After that pick out one of your single freinds that you get along with and suggest her.
If it all works you you get a good freind live in and he gets to fulfil his natural desire for children. Her children will be like your own children too, so you get to have them and be a parent to them too.
Christ is the most important thing, and he has not forbidden your husband another but he HAS required him to Love you. If this is something you can flourish with, you can embrace a woman around the house and children that are his and hers and yours then you can all enjoy the fruits of such a setup. And if you have a hand in picking her odds are she'll side with you on things as often or more than with him
Life is about Christ, and keeping him with Christ is the most crucial thing. Islam has many good points, but it does not have the Son of God.
The Quran contradicts the Word of God and in my opinion should never be called holy by any Christian.

In my studies of Islam as a person they have said they beleive in same God as christians but not as trinity , as one and Jesus is also called Isa to them and they beleive something happened with his brother who looks like him and betrayed him.He was mistaken for jesus.
Jesus is a holy prophet to muslims but they do not concider him son of God.
They beleive in old testament.
As a person I can not say so much about it.
I can not articulate or express it in writing here and many seem have a hostility towards different religions or versions of christianity and so forth.
Instead of acceptance and mutual respect in multicultural society there sometimes a hate towards a religious group or individual for beleiving in such.
