It is my observation that the church has no faith because they are doing what is right in their own sight just as they did in the book of Judges which is LAWLESSNESS i.e. antinomianism. Grace does not give Christians freedom from obedience. They may have Jesus as savior but not Lord/King. He will answer those who are lawless by the idols in their hearts, give them what they want, and tell them what they want to hear Ezekiel 14:1-4. It often is a disaster. Judges 20:1-48

The second reason, at least in the US, is rebellious attitudes. Americans are under a principality of rebellion as this is the foundation of the nation i.e. the American Revolution. If you read Matthew 8:5-13 you will see why a respect and understanding of authority is important to having/exercising faith.

The third reason is most in the west have the Greek/Roman mind set which means they need evidence/proof before they believe much of anything. This is EXACTLY the opposite of Bible faith Hebrews 11:1. This is manifested in the fact that most need evidence from "creation science" to believe Biblical creation. It is one of the first things Christians are to believe with NO sense evidence based on God's word alone Hebrews 11:1-3. They prove their lack of Bible faith by being defensive, suing school systems, and generally getting ugly with groups or institutions who advocate evilution.

There is much more wrong with this Greek/Roman mindset as well, including the pervasive belief among Christians in humanism. They make God just as the Greeks did, in their image and reasoned understanding. They believe that majority rule is the way God wants His church run instead of led by the Holy Spirit who is NOT a democrat or democratic. They believe democracy is God's government when He is an absolute monarch. Democracy and rights are the cornerstone of humanism. Belief in humanism removes faith in God's sovereign control using believing prayer and intercession from His saints which is their duty and honor as citizens of His kingdom.

Legalism is also a reason for no faith. Here is how Jesus defines legalism:

Matthew 15:6-9

New King James Version (NKJV)

6 then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment[b] of God of no effect by your tradition. 7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And[c] honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.

Have you considered that maybe most who claim to be part of the church, in the USA, aren't saved?

YES! YES YES AND...YESSSS!

I tried to express this to a lot of people and they were like, " as long as you have God in your heart you are saved," pretty much that all one has to do is believe and suddenly your just given salvation and forgiveness.

To me, this greatly belittles God's magnificence; because for there to be order, there has to be laws and regulation from a King to his country and country men. If one does not abide by the laws and ways of the king established in society, they are essentially not apart of that society.

For modern example;

Look at countries today; some countries have laws that say women have to be covered up, and other countries do not. However, the laws in which people follow, identify what authority they are under - and if that authority is disobeyed, they come to be exiled or set apart from that society ( ie prison.)

Prisoners are outcasted from society for disobedience; I figure that this philosophy carries over to God as well, as the bible speaks about two set of people; God's people, and everyone else. To be God's people, you have to abide by his authority and the laws of his society - Heaven I'm sure will have laws and regulations or else it would be anarchy. Even note that in Eden God gave only one commandment / law that Adam and Eve were to follow - they broke it and were exiled.

There is one set way that we are to follow God; his commandments are laid out through the bible, but lately it seems " Christians," pick and choose what they want to follow.

I've noticed as well that the biggest thing happening is that Christians are actually being taught subliminally to accept physical aspects of the world and come to be spiritually fulfilled " rich " in them - hence the warning Jesus gave in the parable of the rich man.

Some people interpret this to mean a physically rich person - but actually it's talking about spiritually rich people - those who are satisfied spiritually by what this world gives them.

I was watching a pastor on television whom was talking about the notion of God giving the little things, and then giving us bigger things when we come to handle the smaller responsibilities. He began going on about taking care of one's house and cars, and being grateful for what one has essentially, because then they will come to be blessed with bigger and better things.

It made me really think because a lot of people seem to adhere to God for promises of perks and physical stuff like wanting more money or bigger houses and what not. God already gives to his people what they need - yet there's this idea floating about that God gives what people want.

This is avoided it seems because one comes to find spiritual fulfillment from the spirit of the world if they are immersed in the physical things of it.

Now Job was blessed with a lot of physical wealthy after his tribulations with God; but this is where the spiritual aspect of what that pastor was talking about comes to mean;

Being trusted with the " little things," in the spiritual sense, simply means taking care to follow the simple commands and simple ways Jesus Christ lead out for us. As God see's you come to handle those, you will be blessed more with the bigger spiritual responsibilities - as in some people come to be called prophets and pastors to guide more of God's people which is a huge responsibility, because if you do that wrong the bible says false prophets are eternally condemned.

However, even with these bigger things, one does not come to be spiritually rich, because their soul is still hungry (poor) for God and wants to follow Father and know Father more and more.

There are indeed responsibilities Christians have and even declaring one is a Christian puts a person on display for God - I have noticed that the more one's faith develops in God, the more that is expected of him. If one is not ready to make that commitment, or be held to that standard -

One should not take the title of Christian, because it causes the image of Christians to become poisoned; this is why the apostle Paul spoke about staying under the law of man and being under the law of Christ;

Christians have to abide by both to avoid hurting the image, and getting themselves in trouble with God. People look to Christians for answers and have their expectations - which is why it's frustrating when one encounters Christians who are immoral or sinning intentionally without a care, and saying it is " human nature," and God will forgive them anyway.

Erm, get your crap together yeah?

Because it makes it that much harder for the rest of us who are actually trying to have a heart and mind for God to get some accurate support and for those spreading the message to do so.

This was a war of Christians killing Christians which was true of all but recent US wars. There is no place in scripture where God approves of rebellion or killing to carry out that rebellion. The rest of US wars was killing people that Jesus died for and sending them to hell. Please explain what you think the US was "founded" by if not rebellion.
Legalism puts men in bondage to religious systems created by men. The doctrines of the Bible are the basis of faith. These systems destroy that basis by perverting God's word.
