Where is the verse that says the angel said " Hail Mary full of grace?"

I'm reading in Luke and the angel says, " Greetings you who are highly favored..."

Not full of grace?

Yes Mary needed a savior to save her from her sin as we all do.

As far as giving titles;

It's not so much the titles as it is the aspect of reverence. The cross is considered an idol biblicaly, and even the bible talks about those who bow before these objects made of wood or stone ( statues,) and even the Pope has bowed before a statue of Mary.

It is essentially idolatry.

Then there are verses that say, " there is only one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ," 1 Timothy I believe - meaning prayers and all that jazz are to be given to Christ alone, not anyone else because they do not share that mediator authority.

God specifies these things through the bible for a reason - and idolatry and giving authority to human figures leads to false teachings and being lead away from the commandments of God. Note that things such as these gave birth to the reformation in which the teachings of the church have become collectively subjective and thus unreliable for real truth.

No one really knows the truth to God and it's because everyone put their little spin on the bible. This is no good, because this essentially is man enforcing man's thoughts on what was laid down by God.

Thus Jesus Christ brought the gospel with him; he didn't just come to the earth to bear sin, but he left a New covenant and various commands and teachings for his people to follow. None of which talk about crucifixes or praying to anyone else but him.

I suppose the common idea is that these smaller details don't matter - but perhaps these details aren't " small " in the eyes of God, since they are addressed so strongly in the bible.

Idk...

well its all wrong to me you all want your heads banging togeather simples.

Don't forget. Jesus did not pay for our sin in full. We are stuck to deal with our sin, and if we do not do things which deserve forgiveness, we will not be forgiven. (so we are told)

If Christ death did not remove all sin, what hope do we have? How can we, a sinner, make up for our own sin? if we could, what reason would Christ have had to die in the first place. his death was a sham, because it had no power.

The things we are discussing do not matter at all if we do not get the gospel right. For they have no salvic significance.

It seems you read a water down version of the bible, for it is translated "Hail, full of grace" and it seems the rest of the world has also translated it like this.

I have come across some bibles in english that say "Rejoice, for you are in favor" How much water down can the words of an angel get?
yes "hail full full of grace" does that not mean that the grace is already there

the word translated "grace" means favor which is unearned. .thus it is not a mistranslation to interpret the word favor. The problem is you have made a religious word, and changed the meaning of the origional word from which it came.

now your changing your mind? which is it?
not sure i feel really sick at the moment i think ill ask robo op to delete my account i dont want anymore of this to be honest.

i thought it said hail full of grace could only mean one thing and that hail means to greet.

so hence hail mary.

but if thats how you want to get then so be it.

we are here to proclaim the word of god not argue about it.

there are many different denominations and so what.

the one thing that most of them have is they where born into a faith and so whether you like it or not they are innocent.

if you where a boss and one of your employers wore a catholic neckless or a ring , would you sack them.
no you would not because if you did you would be taken to human courts of rights.

if you where a bus driver would you stop a muslim from getting on you bus.

Quickfire you do not need to erase your user account. If your heart is anxious maybe you need to get some time for your self and pray. When you feel good again come back. It truly makes me feel sad the way people here argue and sometimes I have gotten in to their traps by getting angry my self. Just pray, take your time, and come back at a latter time.

The word is actually rejoice. The angel is telling mary to rejoice. for she has been shows great (although undeserved) favor

don;t ask him to delete your account. Just look at what is being said.

No, we are to seek truth. if someone shows a truth different than ours, we should question it. To some it looks like arguing.

Amen -

Jesus's death is perplexing:

What appears to be the case is that original sin by God's command, we were suppose to die for them Romans 6: 23 " wages of sin is death." We essentially were deserving of death.

Jesus had to be perfect according to God, because when he died, it justified the wage of death. This was God's gift of grace - not salvation. God literally took our place in death so that we would not come to spiritually die as was our originally direction. Now there's regulations to this of course - but on another note, when Jesus died on the cross, the devil also lost his power because he was the one who essentially worked to get God killed, thinking that since God was in the flesh he would die. This is why Satan tempted Jesus so much, because had Jesus waivered to sin, he would of had to die according to his own command, and the rest of us would have as well, leaving Satan to take over as Satan's always wanted to do, because he felt he was deserving of God's throne.

Now, as far as the regulations Jesus established before dying, the New Covenant was a promise that those who accepted Jesus Christ and became one body with him ( le Passover,) would become children of this promise; meaning that since Jesus overcame death, those united to him would as well. With that comes the case of being refined spiritually, and aspiring to be " blameless" in the eyes of God. See, Jesus's death didn't automatically excuse everyone of their sin; one is excused of their sin only when they have really come to Christ, and honored their responsibilities to that promise.

It seems that God is to punish those who have broken the everlasting covenant by rebuking God pretty much, or not keeping with their promise?

Idk.

The sacrifice of Jesus Christ goes much deeper than just bearing sin. This act of grace...God didn't need to do it, we were to die but he did it anyway to save his beloved ones so yay God lol.

But YES! Getting the gospel right is definitely necessary, especially at the time we live in. Jesus Christ said another Counselor will be sent in his name in our time to set things right...

The best teaching we ever got from the bible is to pray with ought ceasing. Read, learn and discern, just keep praying for wisdom He will grant it. Remember the world hated Him first so they will hate us.

AMEN!!

The bible warns times and times again about people following the ways of man, and saying they are of God; God is of God, and so when God established the way to him via Jesus Christ, that is the ONLY true way to God. There is only one set of commands and teachings God gave, not hundreds of different ones.

I know a lot of people hate to hear it, but at some point, there is a wrong and there is a right.

In seeking the truth, one comes to falsify what is wrong, and figure what is to be right.

People however, do not listen, because they do not care to even be sure they are following Jesus Christ - just settling in what fulfills them the most and is convienient for them. Even when the bible testifies against certain held ideas and beliefs, people would rather choose their own authority in judgement over the bible itself. Even denounicing Jesus's Christ own own words to boast of their own.

Psalm 119:2

Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart,

The bible has so many verses about actively seeking God; in seeking the truth of God, one will encounter many false things he must reckon with to decipher what is true of God and what is not.

It's not an easy journey, full of frustration, tears, and hopelessness even - but God will honor that wish.

Is any of this inaccurate?:

St. Antonius (circa 250 - 350): "All graces that have ever been bestowed on men, all came through Mary."

St. Bernard (1090 - 1153): "[Mary is called] the gate of heaven, because no one can enter that blessed kingdom without passing through her."

St. Bonaventure (1221 - 1274): "As the moon, which stands between the sun and the earth, transmits to this latter whatever it receives from the former, so does Mary pour out upon us who are in this world the heavenly graces that she receives from the divine sun of justice."

1750: Alphonsus Mary de Liguori, canonized as Saint Alphonsus in 1839, wrote a book "The Glories of Mary." It continues to be published today, under various church imprimaturs. Various chapters in the book are titled: "Mary our Help," "Mary our Mediatress," "Mary our Advocate," etc.

1935: Pope Pius XI gave the title co-redemptrix to Mary during a radio broadcast.

1964-NOV-21: The Chapter 8 of the Dogmatic Constitution of the Church, passed by the Vatican Council II, and "Solemnly promulgated by Holiness Pope Paul VI" states, in part:

"Rightly, therefore, the Fathers see Mary not merely as passively engaged by God, but as freely cooperating in the work of man’s salvation through faith and obedience. For as St. Irenaeus says, she being obedient, became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race. Hence not a few of the early Fathers gladly assert with him in their preaching ...'death through Eve, life through Mary.' This union of the mother with the son in the work of salvation is made manifest from the time of Christ’s virginal conception up to his death"

"Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation. By her maternal charity, she cares for the brethren of her Son, who still journey on earth surrounded by dangers and difficulties, until they are led into their blessed home. Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress and Mediatrix."

"...the Blessed Virgin is invoked by the Church under the titles of Advocate, Auxiliatrix, Adjutrix, and Mediatrix. This, however, is to be so understood that it neither takes away from nor adds anything to the dignity and efficaciousness of Christ the one Mediator."

"For no creature could ever be counted as equal with the Incarnate Word and Redeemer. Just as the priesthood of Christ is shared in various ways both by the ministers and by the faithful, and as the one goodness of God is really communicated in different ways to His creatures, so also the unique mediation of the Redeemer does not exclude but rather gives rise to a manifold cooperation which is but a sharing in this one source."

1985: Pope John Paul II recognized Mary as co-redemptrix" during a speech in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He said, in part, "Having suffered for the Church, Mary deserved to become the Mother of all the disciples of her Son, the Mother of their unity...In fact Mary’s role as Co-redemptrix did not cease with the glorification of her Son."

1987-MAR-25: In his encyclical Redemptoris Mater, Pope John Paul II "referred to Mary as 'Mediatrix' three times, and as 'Advocate' twice."

1997-APR-9: During an audience Pope John-Paul II referred to the role of Mary during the crucifixion of Jesus: "Mary … co-operated during the event itself and in the role of mother; thus her co-operation embraces the whole of Christ’s saving work. She alone was associated in this way with the redemptive sacrifice that merited the salvation of all mankind. In union with Christ and in submission to him, she collaborated in obtaining the grace of salvation for all humanity...In God’s plan, Mary is the ‘woman’ (cf. John 2:4; John 19:26), the New Eve, united to the New Adam in restoring humanity to its original dignity. Her cooperation with her Son continues for all time in the universal motherhood which she enjoys in the order of grace. Trusting in this maternal cooperation, let us turn to Mary, imploring her help in all our needs."

Does not Revelation talk about the queen of heaven?
Jeremiah 7:18: "The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger"

Jeremiah 44:16-17: "As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you! But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes"

In short Mary was sinless to be able to grow the true God in her belly and raised Him.
This is what man has told you. This is what you've been indoctrinated with and you deny what God says in scripture, instead choosing traditions of man over God's word.

God is God. He does not need a perfect vessel to give birth to Jesus. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, Mary was just a vessel. She was a humble Godly woman but God could've chosen anyone.

Only Jesus was sinless. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, including Mary. Nowhere does it say "except Mary". She rejoiced in God her savior. If she were perfect she would not need a savior.

All means all. Savior means savior. You can't twist what scripture says to fit with your personal beliefs. Saying she was sinless is putting her on equal status with Jesus, a very serious thing.
