1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

2 Co. 9.15. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (KJV)

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Heb 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Jn. 3.16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever belleveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jn. 4.10. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee. Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Ro. 6.23. For the wages of sin death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ro. 8.32. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

I'm so sorry.....maybe you did not understand the question; I was asking about the "New Covenant" and what was in it! Do you know?

Can you quote it to me from scriptures?

I find it amazing that not ONE scripture you quoted had the word covenant in it....NOT ONE!

How can you give me an answer about God's covenant WITHOUT ever mentioning the COVENANT?

I offer this at short notice. It is getting late and I have things to do but will be around tomorrow. God bless.

Heb_8:6 But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second. For he finds fault with them when he says: "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord.

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Heb_9:1 Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly place of holiness.

Heb_9:15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Heb_9:18 Therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without blood.

Heb_9:20 saying, "This is the blood of the covenant that God commanded for you."

Heb_10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,"

Heb_12:24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Heb_13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant,

Well what is sin?

Transgression of the law

Whose sins will not be remebered according to transgressing the law?

Those who have asked Christ into their life as Lord and Saviour

And if their sin(which must be transgression of the law) will not be remebered

They cannot have a righteousness of obediance to the law can they

Ezekiel 18:21-22 (KJV)
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. [22] All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

In order for The Lord not to remember your sins the person (wicked) must do lawful and right

If a person is obedient he must be obeidient to something

What is righteousness ?
What are we obedient to ?

If your sins will be remebered no more
And sin is transgressing the law
Then your transgression of the law will be remebered no more

That all follows

What you and ECCL fail to understand and appreciate is the new covenant

This is the covenant I will make with them after that time declares the Lord
I WILL PUT MY LAWS IN THEIR HEARTS AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR MINDS
Then he adds
Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more

If you understood the above, you would understand why the Christians righteousness is solely faith in Christ, and this does not mean a licence to sin

If you are, why do you need to ask me what a Christians righteousness is before God? You must know

John 8:9-11 (KJV)
And they which heard it , being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. [10] When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? [11] She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

No one to condemn
No one to accuse
Where are te accusers

I have None master

Sin no more

Guess what no sins to remember if you commit none

The Lord said sin no more

it could be done.

So Jesus was telling the woman to go and live a perfect life according to the law?

If she could do that there would of been no need for Christ to die on the cross

Actually in my bible it says that in the most ancient manuscripts that verse is not there

Not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law but that which is by faith in Christ, the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith

Again we have The Lord telling a person to sin no more

John 5:12-14 (KJV)
Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? [13] And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. [14] Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

If The Lord said it then it can be done

If a person could perfectly obey the law, would Christ have needed to die on the cross?

And I have told you, according to my bible that verse is not in the most ancient manuscripts
