preacher is with many responsibilities in his life.
preaching ....... what for?
if he able to think, he may struggle..
in these days preaching and teaching is become as a passion, in same time they are not trying to know the real need in their work.,
I met a preacher in a village,
he is with only elementary study.
he is ministering to people and living with the local sources.
I asked him,, brother what is the need to preach or teach to people ?
he said, i don't know
i asked him, what is the need to say the gospel?
he said, i don't know in deep,
i asked him, what is the gospel?
he said, he said i don't know full answer
i asked him, Why Jesus is died on Calvary?
he said, because he is God,.
i asked him, what is real meaning of repentance?
he said, putting faith on God,
i asked him, what is the need with baptism?
he said, because Jesus did, we are also doing..

this is the condition of many rural and village preachers. So we are conducting classes to teach the basic foundations to preachers who are with very minimum knowledge..
please pray for this.

I will admit that, the preacher, you speak of should had been better equipped to answer your questions, but as most of us do, you saw his bad qualities and over looked the fact that he was preaching , he was sharing Jesus, which is far better than most educated preachers will do, I have opportunities through My job to go to several large Churches where the pastors carry the title Doctor and also small churches with the educated preachers . These places do not know me from John Doe, and up to today in ten years, no one has ever asked me, do you know Jesus. I don't go in as a preacher or even a church person. I go in drop the mail off and leave. I recently had someone ask me if I knew Jesus in a doctor's office, it wasn't a preacher, a prophet, a deacon or even a wife of either just said, but a former drunk, God had saved and deliveried from his addiction. and if I had asked him your questions He would had probably failed also. I am not sure what verse you will teach at your classes, but here is one that I would suggest : Ac 4:13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
did you take notice that the preacher you met, had been with Jesus or just notice that he was unlearned and ignorant? it's not all about education it is suppose to be ALL ABOUT HIM!

Yes you are 100% true, but here we have to think as per the world view, custom and culture also. I am saying on my country matter, MY country is with different culture and passion with idol worships. More than 3 billion believes and traditions. In our country we have to explain on gospel, repentance, salvation, baptism, Christ's ransom for sinners, heaven like this. We have to explain to people in all way. You are in advanced country, so you can get different response from people. But in our country if we fail to explain they may attack on worker, minister or messenger of gospel.

Just preach Jesus and Him crucified, the Holy Spirit will draw them through preaching, if we have to train non-believers , now maybe in my country we worry too much about getting someone to just say the sinners prayer. and not about teaching them how much building this barn should cost them, Which is everything, But the Holy bible says
Ro 10:17So then faith cometh by hearing (not in education), and hearing by the word of God.
Get them to use their faith to come to God, then train them in the Word. most folks will witness to more folks the first week they are saved then they will the rest of their life . I am not saying this is what we should do , but what most will do,.. if you have to trian them for weeks the excitement will be gone and they may never share Jesus. I just know that now adays we get caught up in too much education , to many training programs, and Put the Cross and the Blood on the back burner. I pray that this is not what any will do, but I have seen it too many times already

I am thinking, you are saying right, but in India our culture is different. I think you are not understand the position in India. you know? here many preachers are not able to read bible (in villages), if they are unable to read the bible how they get the understanding on bible. we are not conducting this classes to accuse them. Only we are giving some more stuff to them. we are strengthening them with teachings. we are giving additional strength to them. please understand us..
Bible is a ocean, we are giving some encouragement to understand and teach well.

NO you are right. sorry, I overlooked that you said classes for the preachers, preachers do need to know what to preach , press on.
