Perhaps both is a good idea.
Although I do beleive in right to refuse medication.
I know there are some very bad medications given to people and elderly people that make them more sick than they ever were.
Side effects that are ridiculous and they never had before and being without medicine is better for them.
One man was given medicines enough for a horse and he was not violent.
Those medicines are this day illegal because they are dangerous and side effects make sick.
Depends on situation perhaps.
Nice have Dr one can feel trust with and work with as apposed to going over your head, instead listening to your will and talking about it.
Heard of cases in Europe where Drs were being paid to diagnose and medicate reasons could be will or other reasons.
And also Drs getting large amounts money and holidays for giving patients there medicine.
Was even in the media.
Hope things changed.
But of course medicine can be wonderful.
Used correctly.
and what medicine to have someone there for you, a genuine caring hand to hold or someone talk to.
Does not pretend but really is there.

I disagree with the premise of this. Platonistic, or Manichean. God made the world. The world is good, when dealt with according to God. He expects us to be productive and provide for ourselves and our families and to help our brothers as best we know how.
It makes no more sense to exclusively pray to heal than it does to exclusively pray to protect your family from an armed killer. In both cases if you do not complement the spiritual with the physical you are simply being irresponsible, not pious.

Yes, everything God made, after He made it, it says that He saw that it was good. However, after that sin entered the earth, therefore we can not just blatantly say that the world is good when the word of God says...
I have heard many people say that God gave us a brain to use....that is a lie! We are evil, He is good. even Christ said that none is good but the father. If then we are not good, how can we expect anything good to come out of us? It can not! God is the only one good and we must deny our minds and fleshly inclinations so that we might be given the spirit of God and the mind of Christ. We cannot learn anything of God by our own minds! It must be the mind of Christ or else we will try to make God's word fit into our thinking rather than conforming to the mind of Christ.
God wants to be our healer, protector, our bread....our LIFE! Both spiritually and physically our provider for all things. We must all be willing to grow up in the faith and not think that we have attained anything yet, because we have not attained anything as we ought. If we are not willing to continually be dying to ourselves and grow up in the faith....to trust God more and more in all things. And if we allow Him to, this even goes to the extent of defending ourselves when He is our defender. Why would you take a life that obviously is not in the Lord? Why not allow your family to be with God and seize the opportunity to preach the gospel and save a soul.....that is Love without favoritism and that is what God asks of all of us.
Please do not make assumptions and ask God to show you what is Truth!

I agree only God is good, but you said that world is good, when the word does not say that. A little leaven leavens the whole lump...there is no good in us. We are evil. That is what the word says. No more, nothing added to it. Let God be our healer like the word says we should. If you do not believe this to be true, then as a loving brother or sister, show me in the scripture! Let the word of God be what you correct with, not clever arguments and fine sounding words. He must be our Teacher. We must be willing to be taught by Him and not claim to know anything but the gospel of Christ, as the word says. We must be willing to grow up in the faith and though we are not held accountable for what we have not attained that does not mean that it is okay for us to remain idle when God is trying to get us to grow up and live more and more by faith.

Everyone would be very wise to read the book "Confessions of a Medical Heretic" .... It's written by a MD. He says only use hospitals and clinics for trauma care only. Don't go there for anything else, and he warns of the extreme dangers of going in for anything other than a broken arm or some other trauma care. I couldn't agree more.
Here's one thing most people don't realize. Medicine doesn't make you well. Either does a DR. Your own body has an immunine system and healing system built in. When your nurish that it will heal you. Again a dr doesn't heal you. They can ease pain, they can do some minor things, but they don't heal you. Your own body heals itself. Hospitals and clinics unfortunately over the years have become just a big money making scheme for TPTB.

When God heals people, it's not all dramatic and theatrical like people fantasy; God will use physical doctors, make the body respond exceptionally to medicine, and chemo if it be his will that you overcome that illness. Even Jesus when he healed people, wasn't splitting the skies and what not - it was a simple touch or even a command - he even threw mud on the eyes of blind man lol. With only a word Jesus healed many.I would like to start a new Topic for us all to discuss.I think its really important and everyone needs help with it !

When you feel sick,or have a disease,where do you turn? Almost 100% or worldly people i would say,would
turn to modern medicine for relief or a possible cure.Its so easy to obtain and it seems to offer so much !?

Yes,i hear you saying,Christ of course ! Then a pot hole comes,a cold or flu,or a evil disease.

Modern medicine isn't always 100% effective, and often fighting off diseases relies also on one's own biological ability. There are people who have received medicine and died from the same conditions others have lived through...

How is doing that showing your faith? You say" God can heal but I still go to doctors"...you can't trust completely in both. If you say you trust in God then do just that, Trust in Him. Do you think God can not do it on his own?! Do you think he need mans help!? He certainly does not! Get on one side or the other! God said cursed is the man who trusts in men....you cannot do both. Where are you finding the answer you have come to in scripture? You will not! I have asked over and over again for scripture and have only been given one scripture that was used out of context. If you want someone to be convicted by God and not just listening to the opinions of men then use the Word. Stop clinging to what you think and ask God to give you His Wisdom.

Wow so many thoughts here,i really think it comes down to one basic thing folks,one can talk and argue as much as they will,but that really wont help anything,as yes so many thoughts would be normal for how big of a subject this is,but REALLY,YOU EITHER HAVE FAITH OR YOU DONT.Its so easy to say its normal to get sick once every now and again and minor illnesses but thats just doubting your faith! I am only 21 and Never have i ever seen my Father or Mother sick in even a minor way,no colds and no coughs.Because they believe Jesus Lives today.and he is everything.Absoultly everything.No small sickness they expect to recieve or no making it normal.I have never been into a hospital or taken any sort of medication.Guys and girls,sin the size of a paper clip or the size of a mountain is the same,such as it is with faith.One can be so faithful yet theres a paperclip size they are not sure of ,i mean look here,some of you say that medication is normal because of our "normal"sicknesses.No its not.Its a line that has been broken.Either we didnt pray over our food that made us that way or we are not in direct fellowship with god.Changing somthing so little can be so big,it may not be an issue of any importance to some at this time but saying yes to vaccinations or pain killers are diverting what we should be having in God our Saviour! If you believe that your pain was taken away on the cross that day he gave so much for us i can GUARENTEE that God will take away your pain through faith in him .You may say why do i get this sick or pain in the first place? Its either we are un sure of his divine healing salvation or we have doubting spirits.Praise God for those who have Spirits without fear but of a sound mind.
Its through his LOVE we recieve such mercies and health and i myself am so happy to be able to revicieve it without doubting because that is the key.

Oh, my goodness, Kate! God can work through doctors. Personally, I've come to believe many medicines are bad for our body and that chiropractic care helps the body to function healthily, as it should. There are obviously some cases where the chiro can't help, but for any health concerns from mild to moderate, it's best not to use medicines. Many have bad side affects and even if they don't, they only treat the symptoms, not the source of the problem. God made the human body with an intelligence to heal itself over time. Drugs often hinder this process. I vote God and Medicine but the medicine should be the sort that helps and if possible, is a natural as can be.

The word says nothing is evil in itself. I am not saying that medicine is evil. It is what comes out of the heart of man that is evil. However, trusting in men is evil. It is putting your faith in doctors rather than in God. There are many scriptures that speak against this. In the same way people put their trust in a pill rather than in God. Give me scripture, not opinions! Be willing to let God be your teacher and not what you think.
I am not saying that anyone who uses medicine or goes to doctors is condemned, by no mean, however I am saying that God is trying to grow us up into a more perfect Faith. We must not remain idol but be willing to continually conform to the Spirit. TRUST IN HIM. See if He is not good. Watch your life and doctorine closely. If you are doing this daily, do you really think your going to continue to hold to "beliefs" you had as a child. We are supposed to be constantly dying to the old man so that the new man may grow stronger. God is not just there for when men fail or when we think we really need Him. We will always need Him. We are not ever to run to men but only to God. Read about king Asa. No one ever hears about that story growing up. He tried to "trust in men and physicians" but it CANNOT be done. God did not give us a mind to use. He gave us a mind so that we might deny it and follow Him.
