Have knwon friends who have committed suicide over it. And it was a terrible situation. They thought they were despised by the world around them being that we are in the 'bible belt'. As far as alcohol and drug addictions...I have known far more straight people with these problems than people in the gay community.
 
yes supporting equal rights since we dont live in a theocracy...clearly is the most anti-christian thing i could do.

It started with abortion. It's all meant as a form of population control. It's a way to get rid of those that others really don't want around without giving the appearance that is the motive behind it. There are those who want their Utopia on earth but it's for them and no one else,every one else is just either in the way or a pawn to be used.

These words are on the Georgia Guidestones and it makes one wonder what is behind this

Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

Just thinking through the first part,if this goal is based on truth it means that over 90% of the world's population have no chance in that world,and that includes us,and whoever else is an undesirable.

We still need to preach the truth in love. I have yet to find anywhere in the Bible that God says we are to call Him Mother. When one is from an ethnic background or one is a woman or weak,it is wrong. The problem comes when one tries to take something the Lord is very clear on and says no,and we try to make it somehow right. To often they leave out the part that God does expect us to go out and sin no more. No matter how much anyone tries to change God's word all sex outside of a marriage between one man and one woman is a form of adultery. It's His plumb line and His rules and anything outside of that has very real earthly and eternal consequences. The earthly consequences are to show us it's not good for us. It's to get us to think. And no matter how much we want to kick and scream about how "unfair" God is because of these things and somehow in our mind it's right,it won't change a thing.

This entire post is off the rails. Do we realize we label people by their sin when we call them "Gays".
Do we call people with the sin of gluttony "Fats"?
Do we call people that have the sin of anorexia 'Thins"?
Don't go off and tell me that overeating or anorexia is just behavior. Behavior is the worlds soft word for sin.

I agree that we show love to the person.
I agree that if a person is harmed in any way for their sin it can be a hate crime.

There are two issues here.
#1. Love of the person.
#2. dealing with the sin.

It is obvious that sex out side of marriage is a sin. Under God there is no way he will bless a Gay marriage.
God never gave our government the authority to make a sin legal.

God is in control. Rest in the fact that we can't see the big picture.

You're an idiot. Heterosexuals have equal rights, they can get married to a partner of the opposite sex just as freely as we can. That they don't prefer that is their business. We shouldn't give special rights to people just to satisfy their perversion. Are you going to support incest between adults as well? You have to, if you're going to be consistent. You are what happens when people watch too much liberal media and get on a guilt trip - they decide to put emotions over rational. Believe me if this is you're view of God's authority, if you disrespect the great commission -you're primary duty as a disciple - to teach the nations to obey everything he has commanded you, if you fit the description of those in Romans 1 who approve of homosexuality in a God rejecting society (Romans 1:18-32), then face it buddy - YOU.ARE.NOT.A.CHRISTIAN. you have deceived yourself and are going to hell, if you don't repent, so please do.

Mmmm that delicious taste of judgment in the morning. And saying they have the right to marry someone of the opposite just like us is a bogus argument and you know it. We have the right to marry someone we love and so should they. And since homosexuality is not incest, you are using a slippery slope argument which you have no basis on. besides there are already more states where you can marry your first cousin than someone of the same sex. Looks like you missed the boat on condemning those people too.

kefa52, your last 2 posts contradict each other it seems. I don't see where the thread title calling homosexuals "gay" is offensive & defining them by their sin. They call themselves "gay". No I don't think it would be proper to call gluttons fat though, because most gluttons are thin, very thin. Of course I am referring to Scripture here, not today's idea of "gluttony". Jesus was accused of being a glutton, do you think He was fat & they just looked at His fatness to accuse Him of being a glutton?
Gluttony in the Bible is what we call "bulemia" today. Gluttons were stoned to death in the Bible, along with alcoholics because they made their families go hungry. They both cause families to go hungry today.
I've known many gay men & women & I can assure you that the ones I've known had deep seated issues that were not about how they were percieved by family & outsiders. (other issues).
Yes I see it as an addiction somewhat, I agree that beastiality is next, along with the persecution of Christians. Health insurance for my pets! Claim it on your taxes!! It's all well & good for the gays until Obama enacts shirea law! Then he's got their names & addresses. Obama said, "We are no longer a Christian nation" & "Some people havn't been reading their Bible" & "They carry a Bible in one hand & a gun in the other". Hitler said he was a Christian too. Their speeches are very similar.
 
As a Catholic we are taught five non-negotiables they are:

1- Abortion
2- Euthanasia
3- Embryonic Stem Cell Research [Human embryos are human being]
4- Human Cloning
5- Homosexual (Marriage)

Its not bogus. Marriage is what the Bible defines it to be, it was instituted by God. So to say that that definition does not apply to them and that we should redefine it is to say the bible is wrong and sinful men are right, the bible needs changing. They are not loving people because love as defined by the bible doesn't lead one to sin and rebellion and then to hell. No one does that to someone they love. Homosexuals love themselves, that is why they enter into relationships with mirror images of themselves. Homosexuality is not incest but the logic you're using to justify homosexuality would cause you to justify incest, if you are consistent. Marrying you're first cousin is not as bad as marrying your sister or brother, genius.

Why are people so hateful towards each other on here? Marriage of gays are against the Bible. BUT we should love the people and hate the sin. Its important to remember that. For anyone. Just because they are sinning...dosnt matter if its something big like murder or small like lying...we are always supposed to love the people as Christ has loved and hate the sin.
